You think we're getting picks for Randle, Portis, Taj, and Wayne Ellington? :beli:

We're shackled to Randle for the same amount of years and an older CP3 is still more valuable even at the higher salary.
Wrong.

Randle is guaranteed $18 million next year and then there is a team option for the 3rd.

CP3 is guaranteed $41 million next year and then a play option for $44 million for the 3rd year.

It's not even comparable. Trading a player that makes 30% of teams whole salary is hard even when he's in his prime.

1st Round Playoff Exits
My nikka...he just dropped 30, 10 and 8 on the Bulls. His first 30 point game since a week ago. He opens up the floor by adding another 3 point shooter, would be the veteran PG who could show Frank & DSJ how to improve their game, and only his and Randle's contracts end the same year. The only difference is that if we decide to waive Randle (which I'm pretty sure we wouldn't do anyway), we'd only have to pay him 4 million. But either way, they're both off the books in 2022.

Not to mention it's addition by subtraction, you get rid of Randle, you can put Mitch back in the lineup and still have good spacing:

PG Paul
SG Ntilikina
SF Barrett
PF Mook
C Mitch

:blessed:

(Shout out to homeboy who been trying to get us to trade for CP3 all season)
I know I have, but someone brought a good point. CP3 is injury prone.

He's usually injured a couple times a year for like 4-5 weeks....

But......
CP3 in the locker room is worth it, because he's the ultimate competitor. Yall ain't going nowhere fast with Randle as a vet. Nothing in his style of ball is something the youngins should be trying model their game after.

Just think of CP3 as a second coach.

Actually, you're wrong. I already did the research. Check the link I posted earlier

Having CP3 and Marcus Morris in this locker room would be INVALUABLE

Chris at pg and Morris at the 4 would turn the Knicks into a decent team, and the Thunder would probably just be happy to get Paul's extra year and money off of the books, so they might not even ask for additional assets. I'd do it, fukk it.
You brehs losing your minds in here.

Last three years he's played 61, 58 and 58 games.

He's got more strained hamstrings than Frank has strained groins :dame:

He's always been a p*ssy and a drama starter in the locker rooms and not the guy portrayed in State Farm commercials :stopitslime:

Even in his prime he could never lead his teams to their potential :hubie:

He is 34 years old with $38m, $41m and $44m left on his contract :damn:

He has the second worst contract in the NBA after John Wall according to every single person who knows anything about NBA or salary cap.

Only teams that should take a gamble on him are contending teams that are willing to mortgage their future for a shot at a championship, not rebuilding team that will handicap their salary cap and in best case scenario be doomed to 3 years of first round exits.

Why would a team like ours care about money owed on his contract?

Why would a team like ours care about his injury proneness?

When exactly do you think the Knicks are gonna be good again? It'll be after 2022 when his contract expires correct?
