Also for anyone hating on Knox just peep Oubre’s development

Posters on here seem to forget he’s only 20/21 right now. Just like Lonzo and Oubre’s development it took them some time to put it together.

In here talking about trading for an aging PG with a large contract and a big who can’t play defense. Feels like 2012 all over again :scust:

Exactly...:snoop:

This dude has a wet jumpshot but gets benched for 1 mistake while others got 20 mistakes. He's hitting 1-4 from 3 while others got 2-6. No one really passes him or RJ the ball and nikkas are quick to trade him at 20 years old.

NY kills stars and young players
Yes Knox is deserving of criticism but I'm not like other people who are prisoners of the moment
It is hard for people to see beyond the obvious
Knox has a lot of UNTAPPED upside
Again if he still looks lost in year 5 then its not happening on the Knicks
All he needs, like Frank, is an injection of confidence

I’ve been waiting all season to see this exact lineup. We’ve come close a few times, minus RJ. Why not at least run it for a few stretches? Then run the opposite unit of Taj/Portis, Randle, Morris, Bullock, Payton.

How are these coaches not experimenting more considering they are getting their @ss kicked anyway?

I think (hope?) @Ironman is right. Mills and Perry want to showcase certain guys. Last year, the entire thing flipped to a more youth oriented approach but only after the deadline. That's when Jordan was asked to take a seat and some light adjustments went into effect. I honestly don't know what's keeping Taj in the rotation at all anymore, he's been bad and the data is even worse than the eye test.

He doesn’t. That’s not a knock on RJ but his lack of athleticism and fluidity means his ceiling is just going to be lower. Like i said before the draft, RJ is a will guy. There’s no doubt in my mind he’s going to max out his potential because he’ll will himself there. He has that Kobe in him. But i don’t think he’ll be a super star like Ingram, who is legit a year or 2 away from superstardom. This also doesn’t make RJ a bad pick either. I think we see that there were only 2 superstars in that draft when most people thought it was only Zion. And they both went before us.
I disagree
So many people focus on athleticism as a determination of stardom and potential
How is DSJ doing?

That's not a good enough metric as you are oversimplifying what makes someone a superstar
Did Ingram look close to being a superstar star his rookie season or the season after that?

Many Lakers fans thought he was basura early on even though quiet a few saw his potential

You ignore
1) RJ's elite strength for his age
Whatever you don't see in his athletcism is made up by the sheer strength that he plays with
Do you see how strong he is now? Imagine when he hits peak strength
He is also above average athletically but you don't get to see it much because he is not strong enough despite being very strong for a 19 year old and more importantly, the spacing is complete shyt

He is not giannis or westbrook level but he is pretty athletic
I like how you ignored how he blew by an elite defender like PG multiple times in LA for example

2) His ability to get downhill is special
RJ has a great ability to drive to the basket downhill
The problem is he is not strong enough yet to finish at the rim with contact
The refs don't give him calls
When this kid fully grows into his body and can finish through contact, you're telling me
he won't be a monster driving to the rim?
The only way you would be able to stop him is to foul him

3) his bball iq
In the beginning of the season before Randle and Morris' ways rubbed off on him, RJ displayed exceptional bball IQ, playing team ball only to realize it's everyone for themselves
he learns very quickly

Really the only thing holding RJ back is his jumpshot
If he fixes that the sky is the limit for his ceiling

like I said if the ball was running through RJ like it does through Ja (and not Payton, Randle, Morris, etc.) and if the team was catered to his strengths (shooters everywhere), the narrative might be very different

Getting cp3 and keeping Knox aren't mutually exclusive breh.

The point is yall have a toxic culture. And you know what cp3 does? He makes everyone around him better.

Hes an all time assist leader which means he helps his teammates get into positions to succeed.

I don't get why some of yall are hell bent against getting rid of deadweight like randle and portis for a proven star that has a bunch of role players winning out west.

Knox will only get better with a leader like cp3.

because they are afraid of the knicks curse
things never work out the way they should for the knicks
and in the end the media and other fans end up laughing at them

Smh trading for cp3 is a logical move to get better. I keep seeing shyt about cp3 being washed, so cp3 is so washed that okc is on 12-2 winning streak where they beat teams that are above .500.

Can't make this shyt up.

Yet I just saw yall are about to trade dsj for galloway and kenard.

I guess that will really move the needle forward your franchise.

This man gets it.

He'll also be a great mentor to Frank. Ideally I would like CP3 and Morris on the same team so Knox can play the 3 but he fits in so well to retire here. We could dump all these forwards and bring in Wooten and Iggy in the worse case scenario.
