This is it fam. There isn't an FA that I'm worried we'll miss out on even if courting Ingram fails and we waste a week or a two. Plus if I'm not mistaken even with a max offer we'd have some wiggle room to make additional offers (move Randle and maybe even more).

I literally had the same mindset on Brogdon of don't bother, it'll just waste time. Dude wound up relocating for less than I'd have paid him.

The only ones who could be other options are NO, Memphis, Detroit and ATL and that's it. NO and Memphis we're blown out, the other two; I don't think it's as easy a decision.
You guys underestimate how much the Knicks culture steer star players away
It doesn't steer players like Dubious away because we all know what he's about
Players who care about their image, legacy, and winning don't come to the Knicks
You have a few exceptions like Melo and look how y'all did him
This will continue to be the case until their PERCEPTION of the knicks change

I feel like this is exactly what Steve Stoute said

this is why I assume Dolan bought Stoute in
Dolan knows the perception of the knicks (starting with him) is not good and he would be a complete idiot to think that doesn't have an effect on certain players coming here
certain players will never come here because they know how it will go or how they believe it will go
until that changes, the knicks will get players but not the players that help change a franchise

:mjlol: at most execs not believing Ingram is worth a max

man Ingram is like a Melo (no defense) But not as gifted a scorer. He’s doing this during a contract year and has blot clot concerns. I get it.

The only reason he would work for us is we need to improve talent over all, and shouldn’t be risk averse. We got to gamble cause they played it safe this year and showed they didn’t have the infrastructure/intelligence to even limit trash vets.

He ain’t. That doesn’t mean he won’t get it.

Griffin will give Ingram a max deal. He’s just hoping that in a depressed market and his RFA status that teams will stay away.
This is just your frustration with the franchise. Detroit is a better option? If Memphis and NO aren't interested in maxing him, we're competing with two teams that have been just as bad as us, suddenly the big market is actually an advantage again. That's not to mention is Leon Rose has any secret sauce to help. Plus it's not like I'm guaranteeing this ish. I'm saying there's a chance. If you claim there's zero chance, you're flat out wrong.

What's the problem with making an offer exactly?
the 3 days’ worth of players who sign somewhere else that you can’t get because you’re tied up in a max contract offer sheet that will get matched.

Have you looked at the FA class? Who are we missing out on that actually makes any kinda sense? FVV maybe? Davis Bertans? This FA class is weak as hell unless Davis decides to leave LA.

@JMurder was poppin champagne bottles after we beat the detroit. acting like miller was gonna carry us to the playoffs or some shyt cause we ran into a weak spot in da schedule.
Lmao... Every time the Knicks lose you exaggerate the lie. I encourage you to find the post where I was popping champagne bottles or acting like Miller was gonna take us to the playoffs. Because I'm pretty sure after the first loss since I been back, I said that we were gonna lose a bunch of games without Marcus Morris

Nice troll job tho :youngsabo:

Edit: Caught the line where you said Im acting like I've been rooting for losses all along. I'm not rooting for losses at all so that's confusing.

I'm tired of the juelzing.

David Fizdale coaching record this season is .182
Mike Miller coaching record this season is .351

How about you calm down until Miller is down in the .200's?

Oh I’ve seen it and I don’t think y’all will spend just to spend either (unless y’all bring Morris back)

Knicks should seriously consider being big players in trades just to draw a line in the sand as to who should continue on as members of this core

That's where I'm leaning too. Offer Ingram the max, consider FVV if we don't draft a PG (I think that's unlikely though). Then look at the trade markets heavy, especially with the combination of potential expirings and cap space we have. I want to be the team that gets TJ Warren or Tony Snell for a pick and cap space this time around...still can't believe that Warren deal.

Nah, the main reason I'm on the fence is his price tag might go wild. That and I think Toronto will do what they have to so he's retained. But if he's looking around, I'm inquiring and seeing if he slips through the cracks. There's not many teams with cap this offseason and FA recently has shifted to max players getting paid while everyone else takes a cut...unless the Knicks are signing them to a one year deal :mjcry:
