Nah, the main reason I'm on the fence is his price tag might go wild. That and I think Toronto will do what they have to so he's retained. But if he's looking around, I'm inquiring and seeing if he slips through the cracks. There's not many teams with cap this offseason and FA recently has shifted to max players getting paid while everyone else takes a cut...unless the Knicks are signing them to a one year deal :mjcry:

I like the guy and what hes done but i aint mad if another team wants to pay him a near max and he takes it,im afraid after he signs a big deal he gets lazy and regresses....Hes had no reason to not be hungry up til now after a big payday maybe he relaxes :ehh:

Its never a good idea to overpay for a undersized PG.

man Ingram is like a Melo (no defense) But not as gifted a scorer. He’s doing this during a contract year and has blot clot concerns. I get it.

The only reason he would work for us is we need to improve talent over all, and shouldn’t be risk averse. We got to gamble cause they played it safe this year and showed they didn’t have the infrastructure/intelligence to even limit trash vets.
Ingram is solid defensively with a ton of potential :dwillhuh:
Kyrie Irving, Luke Walton and LeBron James were blown away by the defense Brandon Ingram played against the Celtics

Yeah, I'm way more interested at 20 million than 25. I'm most concerned about the little injuries. I always worry about undersized guys and injury bugs. He strikes me as high character, so I'm banking on the work ethic staying but guessing he has a shorter prime.

Idk if he's actually still undervalued, but if he is I really want to swoop in and grab him at any price tag. I REALLY like Ingram's game and he's barely older than our recent lottery picks.

If the Knicks miss out out on Edwards, what do you guys think of Jalen Green as a prospect?

I think a RJ/Green combo would be pretty good if both players live up to their potential

If the Knicks get Ball(or Killian Hayes) this year, even better

He’s not good at defense....... He’s just not
That's where I'm leaning too. Offer Ingram the max, consider FVV if we don't draft a PG (I think that's unlikely though). Then look at the trade markets heavy, especially with the combination of potential expirings and cap space we have. I want to be the team that gets TJ Warren or Tony Snell for a pick and cap space this time around...still can't believe that Warren deal.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they offer some package of players and the Clippers pick to the Thunder for Schroeder, or just send them the pick and absorb his contract. Especially if they don’t hit on a pg with the earlier pick.

1st Round Playoff Exits
Incoming Knicks President Leon Rose Interested in Bringing Carmelo Anthony Back

@Serious Tell me fam, how's Melo been about his role and with the younger cats on your roster? I'm tryna be objective but Melo is one of my all time favorite players so I'm for this move and not sure if I'm rationalizing. I want him to get that farewell tour.
I liked what I saw from melo, but I've pulled back on watching games since kobe passed and dame recently went down.

Melo can still ball and has plenty in the tank because he's a cerebral, yet physical player.

With that idk what's in the blazers timeline because it looks like nurkics injury maybe more serious then previously thought, so trying keep whiteside might be an option.

Plus what do we do with zach Collins. Melo said he's cool with coming back but idk how this helps or hinders the blazers timeline.

If NY seriously wants him then they can probably get him. But Ny needs to at least make sure to surround him with talent.

W/e the knicks are doing ain't cutting it.

I’m partly posting this to gloat at everyone who said he would be trash... but mostly as an example of just how much were truly failing RJ. The athletic wrote an article about how the Hawks worked on Cam’s lower body mechanics on catch and shoots cause he was always off balance. They also taught him to use his length when finishing instead of his athleticism so could draw more fouls. And the shyt is paying dividends cause the player he was in December vs today is night and day.
Reading shyt like that really fukking hurts cause as plugged in as we are with the Knicks we don’t hear anything even close to this extensive about any of our young Knicks. Instead, we’ve literally wasted a whole season trying to get Julius Randle, Bobby Portis and Elfrid Payton as many minutes as possible for what fukking reason? The coaching staff is arguing about minutes not equaling to development, but aren’t talking about what they’re actually doing to develop the kids in practice. We don’t have a shooting coach. We don’t have a sophisticated training staff. All the fukking money Dolan has, there is no reason we shouldn’t have the best training staff and facilities. shyt is ridiculous.

Here’s the thing, the Knicks weren’t gonna invest into him like that. Look at RJ, to the corner he goes and just like every other rookie we’ve had with the hot hand he gets overlooked.
