In the second to last game of the season we got 20 and 10 from Frank.
Last game of the season we got 26, 5 and 4 from Barrett on 14 attempts.
Mitch finally got to a point of averaging more than 25 mpg over the last 9 games. He averaged 13 and 9 on 79% from the field in that span and blocked 2.3 shots per game. He was fairly dominant defensively. He closed the season with the highest FG% ever and his FGA's should qualify him but the total Field Goals attempted was 40+ short so I'm not sure if it'll count thanks to the season being shortened.
Kevin Knox was also starting to show signs of life.
Even though we were playing for lottery balls, what sucks about losing the end of the season is that this is the period of time where young guys get more rope. It really was looking like the game had slowed down for RJ and also for Frank and Mitch. Knox showed more signs of improvement in his biggest problem area (motor) in the post allstar break than he had shown throughout the first season and a half of his career. Iggy and Wooten never got the chance to be called up and give us a look at how their G-league success would translate. Dot and Trier probably would have gotten opportunities late as well.
We ended with a decent group of young guys showing good signs for their trajectories. That happens often in the late season when some teams mail it in and others are similarly auditioning youth; but it's still notable. We'll close the season with the 6th worst record and a 9% chance at landing the top pick in the draft...not bad all things considered. I'd like to piece together an offseason scheme similar to
@Wargames great post when time permits. I thought we'd have more time to evaluate things but looks like you timed that offseason strategy plan perfectly fam.
