Yea in only 21 mpg so when you project those #'s out over starter minutes then boom. Obviously the Knicks wouldn't max him to only play him 20 mpg. And that's another good thing about him he has the conditioning and IQ(not to foul out) to play 36-40 mpg easy. And this was only his 4th season btw lol
you have a higher ceiling for him than I do
I see a role player and you see something more
oh well :yeshrug:

I feel Wood is nothing more than a role player capable of stretching the floor averaging 10-12 points and 6-8 rebounds
A low usage, athletic face up four who can stretch the floor almost seems like a starter by default nowadays, but even if he's not he's functionally more useful than a guy like Julius Randle. If we sign Wood we can finally run a functional offense and not stress about fit so much.

I don't mind if Wood surpasses my expectations and ends up putting up numbers
But I don't see star potential from him
I see a guy capable of dropping 10-12 points, helping stretch the floor for Mitch and more importantly RJ
This would also allow the Knicks to run a big lineup of Lottery PG/RJ/Knox/Wood/Mitch w/ Knox being interchangeable at the 3/4
Wood would open up things for everyone
Who is going to take Julius Scrambles?
