they werent tryna pay a 4.5 million dollar option for someone that was essentially a 15th man last year.
Yes trier is highly skilled at scoring....but he's below average at everything else besides I guess chase down blocks :mjlol:
we're probably drafting a guard this year....possibly a ball dominant one...that will be 5-6 years younger than trier when he plays in the league.
How would he fit in with a young upstart ball handler and RJ needing his touches too?
I get the frustration about not letting him get his minutes....but in the long run trier would never be in our plans as something foundational.
I wish him the best...he has the talent to be a microwave scorer on a team that can mask his other deficiencies.
theo stinks tho. I despise his face. I hope he doesnt last long here.

:ohhh: They did just lose Avery Bradley

would be hilarious if trier went to the lakers and got that ring :mjlol:

not sure if they can do that, someone like @storyteller probably knows more about how that works

I’m honestly not sure about players that get released during this period either. But they’ve basically treated everything else like a normal fa period from what I’ve seen; so my guess is it’s possible.

Trier was a RFA upcoming; me hella overanalyzing...I’d guess that signals the Rose regime will be very thrifty in year one. The closer dudes contracts are to expiring; the more expendable they’ll be. Doubt they bring back dudes except for pennies and my guy frank May be in trouble too. But it’s just one move so it’s way too early to judge.

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
I figured out what hinders Kevin Knox. He does not have an off the ball IQ. It's not bad but it's not good either. He's good at rebounds, moderate at defense and growing but he doesn't move without the ball. If he learned how to spread the offense without the ball, trust he'd be a problem with RJ.

RJ on the other hand, plays with off the ball I.Q. energy.

Ntilikina has perfect off the ball I.Q. which spreads the offense.

When it comes down to it, Randles and Payton have terrible off ball I.Q. even when their offense efficiency steps up. That's what the team doesn't need.

Trier is just as bad.

Allonzo Trier is at most just a mediocre player whose game is more suited for off-season workout videos than the NBA.

And more importantly he seemed like a little bytch posting passive aggressive shyt on social media and behind the scenes.

A 24 year old second round pick, averaging 6 points in his second season acting like an All Star :camby:

I'll rather have a trash ass player dancing at the end of the bench than a trash ass player sulking at the end of the bench :hubie:

Trier wasn't coming back. I'm worried about Dotson and him leaving.

My hope is that with limited cap space around the league and uncertainty about the cap; we wind up being able to bring him back without too much competition. I really like him as a role player with some room for growth. His QO is only 2 million against the cap, so I think it's easier to wait and see what he gets offered compared to Trier...but I'm worried he gets scooped up.
