My thing with RJ is that he’s not the most fluid athlete. That will naturally limit his ceiling no matter how brilliant of a scorer he can become. What separates James Harden from just being a great shooter is his shiftiness combined with his strength. Things like that you can’t really acquire. RJ will have the strength and may very well become a great shooter with his work ethic. But being stiff isn’t something you can drastically change.

Ehh I’m not sure what exactly you mean but if you mean he isn’t a athletic freak like say bron or wade I guess yes but to me he has things you can’t teach he has heart , attacks the basket with good body control For a rookie to Draw contact if his FT shooting improves and his jump shooting improves even a bit he’d be nice . I think his numbers in less than a full season are comparable to Tatum

I agree with all of this. But there’s a difference between a star and a superstar and i think it will be harder for RJ to reach superstar status than a guy like Jason Tatum.

So the rumors around the Internet are.

Suns will give up there 10 pick to move down in the draft. They could clear 32 Mil to go after FVV or Ingram. No one wants Oubre really because he is about to be a FA. Also very few teams can just absorb his salary. They might trade out completely.

The Knicks are looking at both trades for Conley and Al Horford for trade assets, preferably they would get back Future draft assets. The Philly rumors could lead to a three way swap of Love to Philly, Horford to NY, and Randle to Cleveland. Philly really wants love. I think the knicks would move up to #21 in this trade and might get something else. The Knicks think Horford has something left in the tank and would fit well with their roster.

The Knicks are willing to trade the Mavs Draft picks but refuse to use their own. Teams really want the knicks picks though. They did talk to Minnesota about trading up for Ball with a protected 2021 Knicks picks and Minnesota told them nope, unprotected or nothing. As time goes on they might return to this trade, but the knicks have moved on to other things. They have been real adamant they aren’t going to trade their own picks, only the Mavs picks.

The Suns ain’t even my team for me to care. I only bring it up because the earlier rumor was the Knicks might move down for their pick and Oubre, but the Suns want to move back themselves and might even trade out if they like the offer.

Here’s the thing if we sign him and use him to his strengths then it’ll be fine but if we signing him to be kawhi we pouring jelly on ourselves. . A High level three and D player is worth a lot .
