Should be between these two in my opinion :yeshrug:@storyteller break it down brotha who could actually mesh well with RJ better?

In terms of fit, I'd lean toward Kira. But if the Knicks took a shot on Okoro, I'd completely understand. The idea of Frank, RJ, Okoro and Mitch playing in a defensive system designed by Thibs and Woodson is kinda crazy fam. Offensively, it kinda comes down to how much you buy into his shot improving. He's strong as hell, handles the ball pretty well, solid passer, and a legitimately good finisher point blank. But the jumper is the missing piece.

And since it's the jumper that's a question mark, I think you can see why I fall more toward Kira Lewis. Kira's offensive fit is just as hype to me as Okoro's defensive potential with those youngsters. Kira's speed combines with Robinson's freak athleticism to make for a very hype pick and roll offense. He can also shoot off the dribble when defenders go under the screen. He can make tough passes with both hands, which means shooters and cutters can eat too. The offense speeds up as soon as he touches the floor fam...and defensively, he's not bad but he has to get stronger which should happen with NBA trainers.

I don't think you go wrong picking either of them, but purely on fit I lean toward Kira Lewis.

If Mitch were to be traded I'd rather it'd be for a proven commodity. I think Lamelo has the highest ceiling in the draft but he has bust potential too and I think his growth is gonna depend in part on where he's drafted, and face it we tend to bring the worst out of young players :skip: The warchest is too barren to make risky moves like that imo, but if the Knicks do trade Mitch to move up then they should try and swing a trade for someone on the cheap like Mo Bamba, or draft Jalen Smith or Daniel Oturu later in the draft ( although I don't think any of them will have the impact that Mitch is capable of defensively).

Rim runners might not be the wave right now, but I can't sit here and devalue the rarity of what players like Mitch, Capela, Gobert and Deandre Jordan bring to the table ( and I'm referencing the level they perform at too, not just their skill sets). You can find a guy that's cut from the same mold as Mitch sure, but it doesn't mean he'll ever perform at the same level that Mitch is capable of. The combined athleticism and size of all the aforementioned players is hard to find, and I think you can say the same of Robert Williams too tbh. I was high as fukk on Williams during the draft a couple of years ago and I would've drafted him in the lottery if I was a gm( I stated so in some posts before that draft, and I had him on bunch of my fantasy teams afterwards as a sleeper pick if you wanna count that as an endorsement :pachaha:). Not only is Williams more athletic than 90% of the bigs who are currently in the league, you'd have to go back to someone like Alonzo Morning to find that type of standing reach and wingspan on a player his height. When it comes to young, strictly rim-running bigs, I think Williams and Mitch are in a class of their own in terms of raw talent, their issues lie in between their ears tbf.
At least somebody knows about Robert Williams in here :shaq2:

I disagree that we bring out the worst out of young players. Don't let bums like Ntilikina and Knox cloud your judgement they're really the only young guys who have come here and played well below their draft slot in recent Knicks history we've had many surprises and productive selections in the last 10-15 years we've just never had a chance to draft that nikka since we haven't been given a top pick in a strong draft.

And while we may not find someone as good as Mitch we can find someone in that realm that gives us similar attributes and makes the different negligilble, the difference between a Gobert and a Capela for example, even if we draft a Jarrett Allen level guy I'm cool we can even got in a whole other direction other than rim runner with our big man and go floor spacer. :manny:

Frank, Okoro, Barrett, and Mitch is horrible spacing.

Kira all the way if it goes down to them two.

Knicks brass has a “soft spot” for Frank... :to:

I’m going all in on a big year 2 RJ leap... especially if we get some floor spacing.

100% feel them on this. RJ and Robinson are not tradeable. You wanna keep Frank as an asset but he is tradable. As much as I believe Knox will get better, he's definitely tradable as well.

Frank and Kira wouldn't be starting together. Frank is a bench/role player. He would be the heart that plays hard and plays defense.

i actually like Frank starting off guard. I feel like that’s his destiny.

y'all still stanning Frank?

:mjlol::dead:

He's literally the only player that made it to the NBA from my country and even I know he's trash.

He's not even close to being as good as Caruso

I don’t think the Knicks draft at #27. They haven’t been attached to anyone who is supposed to be in that range unless they drop unexpectedly.

They been attached to players who will be there at #8 and around 15-18 range. I don’t know if that means much but it’s true

Na, I said role player like off the bench, not starting. Even Caruso was contributing to the lakers in clutch games but he wasn't starting.
