I am going to be honest. I didn’t like the hire either, but now that it’s over you got to build a team for him to win his way. Even if it’s shyt spacing and midrange shots. Set him up to succeed. Build the best version of that system and if it fails start over.

Basically the Rockets. It was stupid to go all in D’antoni but at least they know it doesn’t work. I rather that than half stepping FO that aren’t in it like they think they can win it all. Instant competitive credibility. We will battle every night and less games will already be lost by the 2nd quarter.
Referee respect! Superstar calls! Refs respected no one on our team last year. Julius would get mauled and refs would be like
Instant locker room leadership credibility. Those past accolades you're
down playing MVPs, scoring titles, triple dub records will earn you a voice. And how do you feel about the 27, 8, and 7 he put up in Dantoni BS system alongside James Hoggin? It was this season. Is that a past accolade?
Why does Russ have to bring shooting and defense? He's not a shooter. Is CP bringing that? CP aint no great shooter and his D is overrated and he's 35. Russ needs to be Russ. It's the front office job to bring in shooters, rebounders, and defenders. You don't turn down Russ cuz he's not a knockdown 3 point shooter. That's some Mike Dantoni dopey dumb shyt. Russ isn't a bad defender either.
We have shyt on this team. Not a damn thing. The 2 "building blocks" are a stiff lefty that can't shoot or make free throws and a rim runner with no offensive skills but mufukkas love him cuz they saw him block a 3 on a closeout. Oh my god back up the brinks truck!

Stat padding and chucking he still was able to get OKC in the playoffs in the West as the lead dog. But when your teammates are Robeson and Kendrick Perkins you might have to chuck too.

Getting Westbrook is us putting a bandaid over a bullet hole again... Only thing we'd look forward to is a few first round exits... we'd literally turn into the OKC of the East. But that rivalry with KD though!

Eventually you have to attempt to build a winning roster. The Knicks really don't have a lot of good options for next year in terms of fielding a competitive team but you can't have years and years of irrelevance. That's how you become the Donald Sterling Clippers. Plus the odds to get the #1 pick are so small it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to outright tank these days anyway.

I'm not a fan of giving FVV a max/trading for Westbrook and hoping for the best there but at least they're ATTEMPTING to field a competitive team. You can't keep rolling kids out there and winning 25 games a year.

That’s why we’re better off targeting a PG like VanVleet who is rated as one of the better defenders and shooter at his position who can play on and off the ball.

Westbrook is a box score guy the 27/8/7 means nothing it came with low impact. D’Antoni’s system is actually what helped him put up those numbers as they even got rid of Capela to play 5-Out in order to help him.

Yeah, CP3 is a shooter. He has an elite midrange game, he’s a great FT shooter, and he’s been shooting 36-38% from 3 on 4-6 attempts the last 3 years.

Westbrook isn’t taking us to the playoffs my guy not this version that’s useless in the half court. U are asking for a disaster by bringing him in.
