I don't remember any rumors of Suge doing anything to Eazy before the internet, breh

Eazy's "gotta follow the sergeant's directions, or get that ass popped with the Smith and Wesson" line wouldn't have went over well,

if people thought Suge put hands on Eazy prior to that
If u look at the box back in the day and even on arseno they was saying. It as rumors and eazy got tired of it..why do u think he keep saying he got paid for dre is because of that rumor:snoop: plus that lyric u posted was like I said everybody thought dre was super thug and he was telling people suge was beating his artist ass

As a kid back then after seeing Dre and Snoop make Eazy and Jerry Heller look like bozo's in the Dre Day video he seemed pretty lame to me. I think that was kinda the attitude of alot of casual fans. It was different but there was alot of similarities between 50 cent and Ja. Dre and Snoop was the biggest fukking thing in Rap music back then and even though that picture of Dre in the World Class Wreckin Crew was crazy nobody really gave a fukk outside of barbershop talk. I liked Eazy's disses to Dre and I LOVED Bone Thugs but Dre and Snoop were untouchable back then. Eazy wasn't outcasted from hiphop like Ja Rule was when 50 Cent was untouchable but he did drop an album the same day as Chronic and straight bombed. He was starting to get traction again around 94 but then the monsta did him in. I respect Eazy now but I didn't really understand what he did for hiphop as youngin back then.
Good points .... If i remember correctly ... Ren n them even started distancing themselfs from eazy .. I remember in vibe ren said eazy went from been cool as fukk to been obsessed with dre and trying anything he could to get 1 over on dre or diss dre ... Hence why if u notice all that came outta eazys mouth in his latter life before death was dre this dre that ... N ren wanted nothing to do with it eazy and jerry heller didnt relly give a shyt about anyone else as long as they were good (as far as money goes ) in the movie they jusy potrayed jerry been like that but eazy wasnt much better .....:dame:....

My dad and my older cousins out in LA wouldn't let me drink the kool aid the machine backing dre offered. Mane MTV played Dre Day what seemed like every 30 damn minutes plus it was the jam of the day every fukkin week for like a year+ straight.

Blessed to see the box when I spent those summers out in LA as a youth. So i'm sure 99% of black america was riding with dre because most other states aside from cali didn't have an pay to watch video channel like the box. They had no choice but to watch and bump dre day. Youngins don't understand man, dre had that machine behind like crazy during that era. To see and hear real muthafukkin g's was mind blowing considering what eazy and ruthless was up against.

The Box was everywhere.

They didn't beat up Eazy. They caught him in a room with guns and shyt and told him to sign the contracts over. Eazy signed them but he didn't sign his real name.

He signed the contracts with fake names (I heard one story that he signed it as Mickey Mouse lol). BG Knocc Out told the whole story.

At 7:15 mark

Plus, Eazy was going to kill Suge. Jerry talk him out of it and advised him to take him to court instead. By that point it was clear Dre, DOC and Michele wasn't coming back to Ruthless. So they settled out of court and he got 20% of everything Dre touched at Deathrow.

Keep in mind Eazy probably knew the guys that killed Tupac. All of them SouthSide Crips rolled him (check the Real Muthaphukkin G'z video). He could have taken it to the streets...but he decided to take it court and get money instead.

dre day isnt in the same stratosphere as real mf g'z.. shyt was like bringing boxing gloves to a gun fight:umad:
Breh...because dre day is so over played it doesn't hit wit the same potency, we numb to the shyt. But think back to the first day you heard or saw this....this was CRAZY HOT then...and wasn't much fukkin wit it

(That easy e & Jerry heller intro:laff:)
Snoop wit the San Francisco dyke line...whaaat:ohhh:(first mention of any gay shyt I can remember in hip hop, sadly)... Str8 classic tho:yeshrug:....but this debate could continue forever

No Vaseline came and went. He rode on them, they seemingly ate it and moved on. But Cube took that physical beat down.

As for Dre Day, it was powerful but once Real MFn G'z came out, Dre nor Snoop were ever looked at the same. Eazy had AJ Johnson playing him is his own video, showed Dre wearing lipstick, called them out for being studio gangstas, and mentioned that he was being paid off of them. It didn't help when you learned that Snoop was being paid in cars and houses but no cash.

The only thing is that after '96, no one ever even mentioned Eazy again, so his name faded.

Him taking sides with one of the Officers in that Rodney King beating plus breaking bread with Bush had many folks looking at him funny for a while. I remember Willie D calling him a sellout for supporting one of the officers in the King beating
This...nikkas don't remember this...:francis:

The video for Dre Day was better than the actual disses in my opinion. I think that was one of the first times a rapper parodied another in a video. Dre's verse too Eazy was kinda weak, and then the diss too Luke turned into some gay shyt.

But than Eazy flipped the script with Aj Johnson from Dre Day playing himself in Real Muthaphukin G's. Than he exposed Dre with the picture for nikkas who didn't know and pulled the curtain back a little on what was going on at Death Row behind the scenes. Not to mention he had some real og's in the video after Dre came with that b.g. shyt.

Dre Day was getting constant play though while Eazy's shyt really only got played on The Box so, he couldn't really damage them in the eyes of casual fans , but real nikkas knew what was up.

Back in 91, no one wanted to admit but No Vaseline literally was the first step in the end of NWA, there was never a diss track like it and I'm sure it caused some deep reflection in everyone mentioned.

Dre Day was the equivalent of Back and Forth. It still gets burn in clubs, parties ect. Everyone loves that song, but Eazy came back with his track and wasn't fazed
