I love helping people. I have always wanted to be a professional catalyst. I would love to be able to help people in need find the right resources that they are looking for/in need of. Kind of like a 1 stop shop thingy, but the shopping would be of resources of all kinds.

For your sanity, I would suggest you narrow it down at least to one or two groups of people. For instance the Medicare process is so ridiculous, that MOST seniors need help filling out their paperwork. And from my understanding it's mandatory that each old person file when they are of age. But that's something you can make yourself knowledgeable about and then help from there.

yea thats good
just remember not to be too specific cuz yuo might miss out on opportunities
but honestly that description was perfect

Not an old head, but one thing that's been told to me by older bruhs and friends is to keep a steady work diary. Whether it be daily, weekly, or bi-weekly. It would probably be too late to start now since you are trying to move up now, but if you get the position, I think it'd be a good idea.

Whenever I take on a project, or I'm planning an event or something. I try to keep a steady diary detailing (a) my accomplishments for the day (b) the processes those accomplishments took and (c) what my next goals are for the next day or week.

Any time I finish working with someone (or like on a monthly/weekly basis depending on how long), I send them the full PDF document, archiving all of the work done and the goals that were accomplished. Did it this past summer at my internship, got some great rewards and reviews for it.

So like if you do get the promotion, start that journal up to present the next time you want a promotion/raise/etc. as proof of what you've done. If you don't get it, start keeping it for the next time you want it.

damn thats a good idea
i mean i usually write down goals pertaining to life in general but i never went that specific....im sure it keeps you on your toes

i most def gotta get into that bro

Hmm... Thank you for the idea since I had no idea how tedious the process could be. I wanna help every damn body:noah:.

I just dont know which demographic I would prefer to help more.

Think about what really motivates the people around you and you will have a much easier time navigating the workplace. Don't let other people know your plans (I guess with that...have a plan). Diversify your options as much as possible so that you aren't completely dependent on any one event or individual to move along your career. Not telling others what you're thinking and having other options are your means to control your situation. My personal goal has always been to be "constantly progressing" in my career and so far I'm achieving that goal.

If you think I'm cold you have no idea how cold the working world will be :myman:
