I guess I just don't value a TV enough to spend the kinda money on one some of yall spend. I can get a flagship 55 inch TV for well under $2K. I'm not really willing to spend more than $2000 on a TV anymore. An 83 inch LG G5 cost $5K.

LG was my top brand, but them TCL and Hisense TVs are looking real nice and cost way less than some of these other brands.

Ok

I bought a Bravia 8 II last year. Recently there’s two blotch like patterns that have formed in separate places. One is considerably bigger than the other. In the day time you see it due to the natural light but you can’t notice it at night. I purchased Geek Squad protection and I’m under warranty.

I reach out to Best Buy and according to them they can’t do shyt with Sony related defects.

I reach out to Sony and they claim their engineering team detects signs of abrasion :what:

How the fukk could that be if the only mark is related to the blotch originating from the panel?

It’s only after the fact I find out how sheisty Sony is with factory defects and/or part replacement. Now I’m in a battle to get these guys to replace either the panel or the tv altogether and I have to get my money back from Best Buy for pitching me a protection plan that doesn’t protect

DO NOT fukk WITH SONY.

Update:

I’ve come around to the idea I caused this but get this…Before year’s end I bought a duster that was supposedly produced to handle OLEDs :russ:

The bristles were soft and I lightly glided it over the tv and that was the outcome?!

Even if I wanted to replace the panel Sony doesn’t have an authorized vendor in NYC :mjlol:

Called my credit card company and they can’t do shyt after 3 months has passed

How do y’all clean Yall TVs? What an experience man. Bought an overpriced tv and within six months there’s blemishes I can do nothing about

Breh you have to be careful cleaning QDOLEDS. You can’t clean them like regular oleds. Search avs forum and Reddit they tell you how to clean them. Same shyt happened to me. Had a little grease stain the more I cleaned it the bigger it got.:mjlol:

TCL and Hisense

Hell nah..... I actually had TCL once and took that shyt back in few days after I copped it. Never again with TCL. These brands are trash as fukk. That's why they cheap.

If you spend 5K for a 83in set in 2026, you need to reevaluate wtf you're doing with your money

Just recently got a 77 inch LG G5 for my mancave area.

This TV makes me want to rewatch damn near everything. The Revenant on 4k Blu Ray looks absolutely insane. Anime looks amazing too with the insane colors and perfect blacks.
