I've been in stores multiple times looking at them side by side with other tvs + all the research. They are really nice but the price vs. value doesn't make sense to me. OLED definitely isn't a gimmick but the difference in quality is not night and day from QLED/mini LED like people make it seem.

TVs on display in stores are constantly on Display Mode. Meaning they are pushing most brightest, over-saturated picture ever. Not really the best for real life comparison

That being said QLEDs and any FALD have OLEDs beat in brightness.

Where you saw them and the setup makes all the difference. I would bet the setup was bad if you can't tell the difference.

What's wrong with a soundbar? I use a Sonos Arc in both my TV rooms one with two Sonos Ones and a Sonos sub and the other just the soundbar.

I always say, an OLED with a soundbar is a Ferrari with Walmart tires. You kick out for top of the line picture but go cheap on the sound to go with it.
