I wonder how big an improvement is the C5 over the CX. Still got my CX 55in, would definitely like to upgrade to 65

Prices for the C5 65 are cheap too. My CX 55 was $1700.:ohhh:

Idk if its so noticeable since you coming from an old already, but the reviewers all praise the C5 as the best in years

If your set is still good, probably nothing too crazy. Unless you have to replace it, the logical upgrade is probably a G series.

I’m in the market for a tv and I planned on pushing the button. This news makes me want to hold off until this shyt hits the scene

Update: Just heard the ball wont get rolling on this until 2026 if not 2027. Im
Not waiting that long

Ehhhh I’ve reconsidered. What sense would it make to purchase now when the tech for the next ten years is around the corner? I’m not buying some shyt only to swap it out in 2 years

Is Dolby Vision even that big of a deal? I got rid of all my LG TVs and only have a Samsung S95B and S95D so HDR10+ only. Still looks good to me.

Truth is I’m nobody’s aficionado. My understanding of DV it’s supposed to offer additional support in terms of brightness & color palate. DV2 is being pitched as super intuitive auto adjusting in bright rooms, ensuring the right amount of pop in dimly lit scenes. Aside from Bravia 8II I picked up I have a smaller Bravia 8 from 2016 that works just fine but will be what I end up replacing.

Might as well jump on the train once it leaves the station assuming the TVs that carry it have good ratings in general
