There u go I juus made a line deeper than any line Nas has ever made..but it prolly went over ur head :youngsabo:

The entendres are there but the content itself, what you're actually saying sans all the literary devices is stale

i refuse to conform
Love the SSEP but nothing on that or any of his succeeding albums is touching the imagery of a Nas verse.

No doubt. I just think metaphors, wordplay, word choice > rhyming, syllable counting, punchlines

i disagree i think all these techniques play a part in lyricism

so eminem overall >>>>>>>>>>> nas

Try to rap like Nasir Da Gawd, Fail, and change your style brehs....

folks really trying to act like they rhyme scientists and cant hear the basics

the 'perfect' rhyme structure that rhyme king is lauding is really AZ's rhyme style...
and goes on saying AZ cant see Eminem when it comes to complex rhyme schemes,
and then has the nerve to quote examples where Eminem is literally doing his best AZ rendition

Everybody want the key and the secret to rap immortality like I have got
Well, to be truthful the blueprint's simply rage and youthful exuberance
Everybody loves to root for a nuisance
Hit the earth like an asteroid, did nothing but shoot for the moon since
MC's get taken to school with this music
Cause I use it as a vehicle to bust a rhyme
Now I lead a new school full of students
Me? I'm a product of Rakim, Lakim Shabazz, 2Pac N-
-W.A, Cube, hey, Doc, Ren, Yella, Eazy, thank you, they got Slim

^^ no mention of nas :patrice:

Probably because Nas is still in the game, everybody else mentioned kinda doesn't have a voice in the game right now, no need to prop nas up when he just dropped a dope album last year, or at least that's how I see it.

I'm pretty sure he was just tipping his hat to older cats. But it's a sad state when someone insinuating that someone is better than Nas at anything, ANYTHING leads to "but but but the handsome fountain of youth ill-lined up Nas who I would let fukk my girl while I watch gawd Nasir Jones...MAKES BETTER MUSIC SO fukk this conversation...............................Life is Good." :smh:

In 1995, he recorded his first official tape, fukkin’ Backstabber/Soul Intent. In 1996, he released an independent underground album named Infinite. Eminem recalls: “Obviously, I was young and influenced by other artists, and I got a lot of feedback saying that I sounded like Nas and AZ. Infinite was me trying to figure out how I wanted my rap style to be, how I wanted to sound on the mic and present myself. It was a growing stage. I felt like Infinite was like a demo that just got pressed up.”

It's really that simple I'm amazed when nas rap and I cringe when Eminem does it. The boy was surpassed by royce on almost all bad meets evil tracks but that don't mean royce is a greater rapper. Let's put a little perspective on things. The op says Eminem shyts on nas. Well if that's the case then that mean all the rappers of history of rap should have dropped the mic. This statement is just incorrect. That's like comparing Nadal to federer. One is a winning machine, implacable on every point and everyone but can't never produce a beautiful game and such a master of every aspect of the game. I get bored with every Eminem drop despite the gun flow. Can you mention one great eminem song in the past 7 years ("difficult" and it took proof death for that track to be done)

Only thing that Eminem does better on a technical level than Nas is flow. Yes, Em's flow variations are better than Nas's. It's one of the greatest things Em has going for him now. Then again, Eminem has had one of the best flows of any rapper. It wasn't showcased on Recovery though. The flows he was using on "Rap God">>>>>>> any flow he employed on Recovery.

To Nas's credit, these past few years have seen him do different things with his flow. His verse on Wayne's "Outro" and his flow on "World's An Addiction" (namely the last verse) are proof of that.
