Iran didn't have to freeze anything. They weren't boxed in. Iran has an active fatwah by the Ayotollah against the development and use of nuclear weapons. Let that sink in.

They have religious fundamentalism, colonialism and western supremacism in common. I don't buy the notion that they are "forcing" or "blackmailing" the US at all. Deep-down, there are massive similarities between the construction of the US and that of Isra*l. Now the US being white, meaning they thought themselves superior, they thought early on that the relationship would be one-sided and that they could use Isra*l for their objectives in the ME, which they did and still do, but Isra*l has played the game well and now the two entities are so embedded with each other that they both use each other. More-less the same with most of Europe.
