The ghostwriting allegations were overstated if you actually analyzed the reference tapes and saw ole boy was credited for those tracks he worked on in the mixtape. I prefer not to get into it though been over this way too many times. If you prefer Cole and Kendrick's music over Drake than cool, I have no problem with that. It's the people that latch onto irrational hate and extracurricular things other than the music to judge that get me tight.

1. Drake having ghostwriters is not an allegation, it's fact, because...

2. Two of the song that have reference tracks (Know yourself and Rico), Q. Miller isn't credited on them as a writer.

The choice is obvious, Drake's out off GP.

If you erase Drake out the game you are basically leaving a void that can't really be filled by anyone. Even though his output these past couple of years has been middling at best, you can't take away from the fact he's one of the biggest rappers in the game. If you erase Kendrick Lamar you basically drop the most impactful West Coast artist of the past decade. As much as I enjoy J. Cole's music, he is the least essential of the three. Bye J. Cole.

You take Cole away, you lose one of the few rappers that have actually have soul in their music.

Kendrick you take away GKMC S80 and TPAB, which is a no go.

Overall. Drake hasn't been good for Hip Hop. No classic albums. Trend hops to songs every year, and he's done a horrible job at overlooking the genre. Which is something that the guy on the top is supposed to do.

There are lots of rappers with Soul in their music.

Kendrick right now is clearly making a run as a sort of people champ. You may not like PBAB but it clearly has been the most impactful album to come out this year.

Taking the writing thing out the equation, Drake is the most popular rapper out, sure, he's an of the moment dikkrider but then again so was 50 and no one batted an eyelash. Like it or not hip-hop is pop at this point and time, and it has been for a long time. This is just the side effect of being a global phenomenon.

Like I said, if you take away Drake, who fills that void?
