easily Microsoft
Srsly... Dude seems to be affronted by this news. The major difference was that the sony/Nintendo deal fell flat, Nintendo didn't want to use their ideas, and didn't.
Sony then created their own system while Nintendo went in a completely different direction.
Sega and Microsoft worked closely together during the dream cast and xbox.
They never fell out and ideas were used.
The two situations were not the same.
I don't know why this offends you so much
So what's the problem with saying that Microsoft took those great ideas and executed them alot better With the help of sega? Not surprised at the results, but you guys are out of your mind if you think Sega contributed as much as Microsoft. Sega was a company full of great ideas with terrible execution.
They shared ideas then, and still do today. The major difference was that the sony/Nintendo deal fell flat, Nintendo didn't want to use their ideas, and didn't.
In both cases they went their separate ways but ended up sharing ideas tech and games.Sony then created their own system while Nintendo went in a completely different direction.
Sega and Microsoft worked closely together during the dream cast and xbox.
They never fell out and ideas were used.
The two situations were not the same.

Once Xbox became the lead platform & was rushed out to match the launch. Madden last gen never recovered. A whole generation wasted. Of course we kno EA is more at fault, but man once EA was bed with MS Madden lost it selfLol @ M$ destroying madden.![]()

Goddamn you're stupidSony worked closely with Nintendo before the ps1. Is the ps1 a "spiritual successor to snes"?
Microsoft did more damage than good imoNot surprised at the results, but you guys are out of your mind if you think Sega contributed as much as Microsoft. Sega was a company full of great ideas with terrible execution.
and Microsoft came through and executed them much better than Sega did hence why the numerous articles on gaming sites calling the OG Xbox a spiritual successor to the late Dreamcast. Not surprised at the results, but you guys are out of your mind if you think Sega contributed as much as Microsoft. Sega was a company full of great ideas with terrible execution.
