Only 4.5 GB of ram available to games on ps4

I'm not seeing how what you're talking about equates to them lying.

Before Sony hit up the Devs you don't know what their plans were for how much RAM was going to be in the console for gaming. It might have been 2GBs for games and 2GBs for the OS before. So really adding extra RAM was for gaming seeing that it'll eventually be used for gaming.

They already said it was less than a gig going to the os. That's why when the ram was doubled people assumed the os would need 1gb.

This was supposed to be the ultimate gaming machine. Sony and their fans didn't care about all these "entertainment"

Now you find out its pretty much the same as the Xbox one with inferior features and your still looking for ways to defend the shyt

If not for anything else, they are going to allocate a lot of ram to overcompensate in the beginning. Remember that Microsoft reserved 32MB for the 360 and from what the 360 launched at to what is does now are two different beasts.

Nah, I honestly didn't know they were allocating 512mb for the OS (that's stupid anyway). Good thing they changed that.

I'm glad that are increasing it. I'm on record for saying that this is way for consoles to go. They need to be multimedia devices, everything else worth its weight is. I don't have a phone, I have a computer in my pocket that just functions as a phone. Consoles need the same mentality.

The worst part about this is that Y'all not mad. I am... If xbox doesn't live up to my expectations the possibility of ps4 kept me cool... now knowing that gap isn't what we thought it would be... I said it from day one... I wish they would have gone with that EDRAM. Future proofing. Now the Esram 192 gb/s is the best thing we got going.

Breh I'm going by past consoles. PS3 and 360 were "theoretically" close yet PS3 exclusives blew 360 exclusives away graphically despite them being close right??

That's pretty much due to their really talented
first party teams.
There are too many examples of the 360
stomping a hole in the ps3 when it came to real
world performance for ANYONE to believe it's superior

Worst case scenario 5.5 gigs of GDDR5. XLauce 5 gigs of hitty ram. That GDDr5 making a huge difference this gen. Xbox just gettin by.. 2x better GPU for ps4 still in tact. Higher clocked CPU still in tact.
