As an older head on here, this album signified so many things for me. I had had got my 1st job out of college as a PA (production assistant) for some of the shows in the MTV studios and I had the pleasure of meeting Wu-Tang during a taping of Yo MTV raps towards the end of the show's original run. Real cool and funny cats as you would expect. Any way right after I met them, Cuban Linx dropped and I actually pre-ordered it so I would have to wait in line from my goto record store on Lyons Ave. I remember me and my best friend spent the whole Saturday just popping 40's and playing Super Nintendo to that shyt. Of all the seminal albums dropped only four made time stop and make me remember where I was the moment it dropped. KRS-Ones Criminal Minded, Nas's Illmatic, 2 Pacs MATW, and this. As a hip-hop album you make an argument fot this being top 5 of all time and even outside the genre, this album will stand in the annals of all time as a great piece of musical cinema. While I actually thing GZA's Liquid Swords is the direct descendent of the original 36 Chambers, Cuban Linx may be the great accomplishment by Raekwon, Ghost, Capadonna and the Wu Collective. I can't believe it's been 20 fukkin years since this masterpiece. This album may be the Electric Ladyland of hip-hop.
