Shaq has a problem with anyone outshining him.

The team went from 29 wins to 62 in a tougher conference. Nash deserved that MVP more than '06.

it was a gimmick offense with a ton of talent around him. shawn marion, joe johnson, and amare stoudemire. thats 4 all-stars on one team that season. add to the fact they brought in that gimmick fast pace offense that no one was prepared for. then the post-season came around and it got exposed.

He deserved both , yall need to :camby:

He turned a slightly above average offense into the best in the league and arguably the best offense the league has ever seen in '05

Then lead the Suns to the 4th best record overall without his 2nd best player and Shawn Marion playing center in '06 (not to mention Marion wasn't close to the same player before and after he played with Nash, due to the "Nash effect").

Edit: @Full Measures :pacspit: ya bytch

it didn't get exposed. they couldn't win because their Frontline was too small...... the season amare and diaw got suspended for game 5 was their chance though. unfortunate a shytty rule took it away.

Joe Johnson averaged like 15ppg a game for the suns. PLUS don't act like Shaq never played on suited up ass teams. I get it we don't like white people @ the coli, but acting yall moving goal post like shyt with post like these.

Damn what Nash do you yall man? I know it's been a minute but Nash was a fukking beast. He didn't deserve both mvp's but he should have got one

he was a good player but never anywhere close to top 5 in the league. I don't know how you can be the MVP of the league if you ain't even top 5 in the league. he won because they changed the definition of MVP during that era. it became all about "making ya teammates better" have no idea how thats judged but somehow it was the argument used to give him 2 MVPs.

a legit argument could be made he was not even the best player at his position during those years. Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups was out there winning finals MVPs.

That was the 04-05 season and you clearly don't understand what happened. The suns made the playoffs in 02-03 with marbury and a rookie amare. The next season amare had injuries, barbosa was starting and they traded away steph. The 03-04 team wasn't nearly as bad as the record indicates, no reason nash should get that much credit for the turnaround.
What? They were clearly as bad as their record indicates. They weren't good with Steph that year. Obviously they needed a PG, and Barbosa was still a good player for them once he found his rightful role.

"Gimmick" offense that the league started to mimic down the line? The same gimmick that Pop took, and led to the Spurs recent resurgence?

Stop it. Nash led that team. And they made it to the WCF that year, against the best player in the NBA. Losing isnt the worst thing in the world.

da fukk? kobe averaged 35 a game on his 2nd one and put his nuts in his face in a playoff game. only reason he won MVP that year is cause Kobe had Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, and Luke Walton starting for him.
Kobe wouldn't have won in '06. Dirk or Lebron would have

And Kobe blew a 3-1 lead, then bytched out in game 7. He's lucky the media ever rewarded him with an MVP after that :pachaha:
