I agree...any list excluding KRS1 screams of the authors lack of understanding for the true purpose and ability of Hip Hop...but I never worry about the imput of CORNY cac hip hop contributors because I know they have no clue of the deep sophistication that hip hop embodies. They would've put nelly on the list if they could have gotten away with it. Plus these pariah types are like cockroaches and would just find another industry to camouflage there ignorance with nice safe white smiles (that comfort other white execs) in.

From my experience, i would have business meetings with people who worked in media, PR whether TV or print were corny hispter-ish who didnt care for the art.

They were so scared of real hip hop music. They got in position because of who they knew and were majoring in jornalism or media. They owned blogs or event spaces where i would try to host shows...

They only wanted to work with others yhat were like them. No lie, they looked and smelles dirty.

I can say with confidence, i only met 2 cool white people during my 5 years off putting out music. Everyone else either were scared of me or the people i was around.

Never will i forget cornballs at babygrande records that wouldnt allow me n my artist upstairs to the office lol

Blacks need ownership in hip hop. Even at the bottom of the totem pole, black people need to stop selling their art for pennies....not everyone needs to be a rapper or singer...i met at most 3 young black kids that were drawn to the business side of the music industry.

Crazy thing is, all crews that come out nowadays have inner city kids running behind the doors dealings but dont make it to the lyor cohens...
