Yeah, joe from fat beats is a cool ass guy. He cared for the culture but even he had to close shop. Shout out to him for giving me a distribution deal in 2008. We made 28k cause he believed in my passion.
Sadly, i cant just fault the hipsters running the hip hop scene...times were changing and a few of people who i believed to be talented didnt possess the work wthic needed to be successful.

I had an indie label, put out a few projects and then tried to pull my friends into the game and show them how to make money in the game...sadly, i got burned out, i had the right vision but worked with people who feared success.
I had my own studio, production team, engineer and film crew.
One day i woke up after having a falling out with 2 artist for their lack of business acumen and decided to take a few years off.
Its been a year and im starting to get that itch to get back in the game...but this time ima start back again but do shows in nyc with artist such as fabolous, ghostface, dave east and so forth.
Im just stacking my money up and have 0 business partners.
Those "hipster cacs" got let into the business by the old heads who sold out a long time ago. These are second and third generation cacs you're seeing now. They aren't going anywhere either. This is the result of casual relationships/friendships like the one Jay himself shared with the Jewish chick (who owned a record label herself) and being promised more access to the corporate side of things (commercialism without actually being in charge). The dudes you all revere on here are the ones who have ushered in the era you hate.
