for me Kurupt at his lowest point was that Against The Grain album that was released in 2005 by Death Row

now the unreleased version that was later leaked with the diss tracks was dope

It was really scattered cause once koch became distributor they switched out a bunch of tracks but i still like most of the records, Sir Jinx supplied some dope beats, if they left the diss tracks on it woulda been way harder but by the time it was ready to release Kurupt had squashed the beefs and was basically just waiting for the ink to dry on his walking papers. I was glad some of the records showed up on other releases over the following years.

My man take away is Daz can really still fuggin produce, theres some phenomial beats on here and they sound clean. Really makes you think theres artists out there that could use him, big artists that are getting way worse quality beats

Biggest problem is Daz is about his paper and labels dont want to pay established producers anymore when they can get away with using YouTube beat makers.

It could be the platform or the quality of the headphones/speakers but I hear a lot of sounds that are buried that a proper mix would make stand out more, I'm listening on spotify with earbuds tho so its 2 strikes against the audio already.
