Agree with some. Disagree with some
He cooked. And it felt like it came from a good place
At first I was like “this nikka here”, but by the end of it I was like, even tho I don’t agree with everything he’s saying and how he’s saying some of it, the NBA really needs to reckon with the fact that its stars have gone too diva-ish.
And he’s right about the culture coming from top players. LeBron is the father of this load management era. And while it may be the optimal approach from a performance perspective (winning titles, career longevity, etc) when everyone’s hip and using this strategy it cheapens the product.
No, Gregg Popovich is. He is the one who started the concept of resting star players during the regular season to conserve them for the playoffs
THE LEAGUE GOES AS BRON GOES.
WHEN POP BEGAN DOING IT
NO ONE COPIED IT.
IT WAS JUST LOOKED AT
AS THE OLD GUYS RESTING.
ONCE BRON BEGAN DOING IT
EVERYONE FOLLOWED
AND WE BEGAN HAVING NATIONAL TV
GAMES WITH NO STARS FOR BOTH TEAMS
Same shyt goes for the NHL all star games. Them crehs/brehs come out and competeBro right .
4 nations popped because the players gave a fukk apparently
The old head generation need to age out/put out into pasture because it’s not like they’re in the top 5 convo now anyway
of course
You are the perfect example of why people of color haven’t progressed at the highest levels of society. From one man to another, you’re a disgrace and history will judge you accordingly.
Ask yourself why Pop making a 35 year old Tim Duncan a healthy scratch was portrayed by the media as “Just resting an old guy” but a 35 year old Bron resting is a stain on the league
The facts are that this concept did not exist in the NBA until the Spurs started doing it. Then Philly copied and called it load management for Embiid and Toronto did the same for Kawhi. Then you started to see it done for Bron, Curry, Zion, etc.
YOURE WRONG

The Cavaliers knew for weeks LeBron James might sit out Saturday's game against the Miami Heat
There was an extenuating circumstance or two that clinched it for Cavs coach David Blatt, but the Cavs always had Saturday's game against the Heat circled as a possibility to rest LeBron James.www.cleveland.com

EMBIID HADNT PLAYED A NBA GM YET
In a way more physically intensive sport. They do not do rest days and their guys still have long careers.
I remembered it as not happening until he went to LA, but have no problem admitting to being wrong on that part, but I am right about Philly being the first ones to call it load management

NBA load management: What we know and don't know
Here's our best intelligence on what's going on with Kawhi Leonard and other NBA stars who are resting.www.espn.com
And even with LeBron doing it in Cleveland, that was still after the Spurs had been doing it for years and largely been given a pass outside of when they did it against Bron

MY FIRST POST
I know what you said in the first post. I don’t agree with it
I’m not assigning more blame to LeBron for load management spreading around the league than the team who literally started and popularized it
The San Antonio Spurs brought the concept of strategically sitting healthy players in regular season games to the NBA. Not LeBron. The Spurs. This all goes back to them,
