I'm a woman and I suffer from discomfort for the first few days but as long as I have some Aleve I'm good, I can get through it.

I don't think women need paid time off while they're on their cycle. I'm in the process of getting my business off the ground and I would be damned if I had to pay my female workers time off for their cycle.

They still have to meet certain quotas. We'll keep our jobs. I see what youre saying, alot of men dont respect women in the workplace in the first place (I should rap) so this could have them being pissy even more but hey, opinions are opinions.

It's not about respect. It's about employability. You have to think like a business owner does. If women get 7 more days of paid leave than men, they're gonna go out of their way to hire only the bare minimum of women they possibly can. You wanna pass legislation that's gonna wreck the career prospects of an entire gender based on an unproved ass opinion like "most women don't care about promotions anyway"???

So what you're saying is you'd put the efficiency of your business before the entitlement and extra requirements of hiring a woman instead of a male to get the same job done faster and at a lower price with insurance and healthcare? If women get to take the day off WITH PAY for being on the rag then they need to pay me more than they do the women. Not even on some sexist shyt. I ain't gonna knock your hustle. But if I gotta carry the workload because u missed three days in a row, then it's only fair I get paid more.

If you think about it though, what makes a person feel entitled to a job anyway. You gotta be qualified and perform well, especially for small business owners who have a lot riding on your performance.

The hell I look like getting hired in a 5 person company saying, "oh yeah Imma need 4 days off next week for my period...and make that every 21 days from there :troll:"

Oh lord. I said severe symptoms,like cramping nausea migraines etc. Severe meaning bad enough to incapacitate you for a full seven days. Severe symptoms don't last seven days. If you are incapacitated for three or more days there is something wrong and you should be seeing your gyno asap. I can tell you stopped reading because you ignored that adjective. Can you honestly say that it's normal for a cycle to leave you disabled for 7 days out of the month?
plenty of women suffer all 7 days. It's not as uncommon as you may think. This is why I said that. And yes plenty of women have major female issues.. And I never said it was normal. You said NO ONE is in pain all 7 days as if u can speak for all women. For real you probably couldn't speak for a room of women. But as for the idea of the thread it would probably never happen or never work.

My clit jumped at the title. Most women dont care for promotions or power in the company..thats males. We care about getting paid to shop, so technically the money is being put right back in our pocket after we spend it. THAT is what we wake up for.

It's not gonna affect your paycheck in any way so why have an issue with females possibly getting days off cuz of their period. Some women do have real bad ones, my sister is one of them. Tbh some of y'all are really acting like you get a period as well

so its cool for you to take up the slack for them getting days off, the company paying for it, while you still have to work everyday as a man. then you have to hear the bs about equality, yada yada yada, there are exceptions for every rule but as stated my moms, grandmothers, etc didn't get paid days off so why should women now? this is fukking over the system. this shyt will have the workplace going crazy

I seen this before. I'm all for it. If for not all days atleast for the first 1-3 days when I'm feeling the worse. This isn't about equality either because a man can never have a period.
A man not being able to have one is so irrelevant in this particular discussion. If you're working in a office type situation this especially shouldn't be an excuse.

There are many cases and examples of women who take better care of themselves than many of the masses and their pain is alleviated as a result. They experience the discomfort much less, for less time.

Yall want equality, no one should coddle people for living unhealthy lifestyles. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are many precautions one can take.
