Ive heard this repeated quite a few times and i dont understand this line of thinking. Perhaps some of yall are new to hip hop but it wasnt long ago that you couldnt even claim to be the best rapper without kats coming for your throat. Thats the competitive spirit hip hop was built on. So yes it was a diss not only to new york but to any rapper who thinks they are better.
