An inconsistent discography and lack of hit records.

Been pretty much a Gold or less artist since 2002.
as opposed to beth of both words. jay album with linkin park. duds like Magna Carter or Blueprint 2

Kendrick might be the only artist with a near flawless discography. Inconsistency is not exclusive to Nas, everyone has it.

as far as lack of hits :duck:

brehs who used to hate on nas would say shyt like "I don't want to think while I listen to music" and phrases like "big words" :scust:

:skip:

I remember hearing nikkas say this when I was young. I grew up to realize there are a LOT of stupid people who exist in this world. And they reproduce the most

most critiqued

if Nas dropped that unmixed ass Jay-Z, Jay Elec mixtape he would have been crucified for his "beats being trash"
That album does get killed though

Y'all have to stop making Nas some victim.. Dude is one of the goats period.. I'm sure he wouldn't even like how y'all handicap him on here

U have to bring up side collaboration albums with Linkin’ Park and R. Kelly (which only strengthened Jay’s crossover appeal and discography) to make your case. :mjlol:

BP2 and MCHG may have not been great albums but they have good recognizable songs.

And yeah Nas lacks hits. There’s threads here on hypothetical Verzuz with Nas against guys like Jay, LL, 2Pac and stans struggle to list songs. Nas never been a hit maker and hasn’t had one since 2002. It plays a role in his perception because he don’t got the same amount of single undeniable records as other artists.

That's bullshyt Nas got 20 songs that can go against anybody 20 songs in a Verzuz, not only from his pen but for others he have crafted for.

Thats factually incorrect.

Gods Son and Streets Disciple are both platinum albums.

Hip Hop Is Dead, Untitled, and Life Is Good are all Gold albums. With number 1 debuts on billboard.

Nas has been at LEAST a Gold selling artist since 2012 18 years AFTER his first album. He’s also to date the only rapper to have a top 5 debuting album in three different decades with the release of King’s Disease.

Nas stans really think Nas music is deep or hard to understand or something?

Y’all are something else

It’s just boring with either bland or bad production
