Ehhhh....can't say he's wrong.

But Nas has a legit argument for G.O.A.T., f'real.

I don't think people truly understand just how much time is encompassed in a G.O.A.T. argument....we're talking decades. Some people throw the G.O.A.T label out there when what they're REALLY implying is "in MY (their) lifetime/experience", which is more limited.
While Jay-Z exist Nas can't be GOAT. I like Nas better than Jay but Jay's level of achievement dwarfs Nas. Talent isn't the full measure of greatness. Fame, achievement, recognition, status matter. Jay expanded raps boundaries. Nas is more for rap purist.

A lot of listeners don't handle metaphor heavy lyrics well. You gotta be simple and direct for them understand you.

I remember back in college playing Illmatic for people and they were all like, "Nas be using big words:ohhh:" They loved Pac though.
Did Nas dirty like they did Lupe lol

When people mention "Nas ain't had a hit in 20 years", it strengthens his legacy because I bet you can't name another rapper who STILL consistently went platinum and gold and had #1 albums without a hit.
That donโ€™t strengthen shyt lol he ainโ€™t been plat in 20 years. Last gold album came out 9 years ago and took 8 years to go gold

If he had a hit his numbers would been better

Then explain how come artists with hits still flop?

2004 was not 20 years ago. And Hip Hop Is Dead is probably close to platinum if not platinum by now.

They didnโ€™t back when he was going gold. It was rare for artists to flop with hits back then

Really? Explain how Flo-Rida had "Low", which was a #1 single and the follow up "Elevators" and still failed to go Gold. This is 2008 when Nas went gold with Untitled without a hit.

Rare

Name 5 more in the history of rap during that era

That wasn't a rare occurrence.

Rich Boy had "Throw Some D's", which was huge. Album failed to go Gold.

Soulja Boy had "Turn My Swag On" and "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" and failed to go Gold.

Game had "My Life" featuring Wayne. Ni gold plaque.

Ross had "The Boss" and "Here I am" and only went gold with Trilla.

Three Six Mafia had "Lolli", which peaked at 18 on the Hot 100 and that album failed to go Gold.

Lil Mama had "Shawty Get Loose", which was Top 10 and the album failed to go Gold.

Snoop had "Sexual Eruption" one of his biggest hits and Ego Trippin was his first album that didn't go platinum.
