There is a large debate to be had about how to curtail school shootings and a wide range of things that can be done. Calls to universally ban assault rifles(which they can't even define) is clearly just an opportunistic attempt to start the ball rolling on trying to turn the rest of the country into NYC. This is about creating chaos for the Trump administration and a wider cross party attempt at curtailing our freedoms & people like me who would be willing to have a sensisble conversation about gun control can see that.
