Not only that, but expecting them to take out a school shooter Jason Borne style is expecting them to have the proficiency of a special ops soldier with that weapon, and to be able to employ that proficiency around children, which takes decades of real world experience. There's a reason they only accept top tier guys into Delta if they've had multpile combat deployments, and there's a reason why they would only send Delta into a building full of children to take out a threat.

Your average soldier wins a gun fight through fire superiority, not precision accuracy...and their only job is gun fighting.
