You are going to wake up really early to take the train to Venice? Why don't you stay a day in Venice if you are going to do it all over the next day. Seems like you will be rushing through things if you make it a day trip.

The logistics of booking these different types of hotels and knowing which ones be throwing me off for different places. That part of planning a trip be making shyt too difficult for me. Lol

I posted some tips and photos in travel thread few years back.

Uber is your friend to get around

Do the usual sightseeing, Vatican, Forum, Spanish steps etc

I personally never had any race issues, as its a city you see all types tbh

They love Eritrean men. They got streets in Rome named after Eritrean cities.

You been breh? Im thinking going there as an Eritrean might be a bit risky due to history of them being
colonizers and ive read a few stories about racism there so idk.

To keep it a buck, they view Eritreans differently than other Africans. :mjpls: Not all but that’s a prevailing theme I’ve noticed. There are several Eritrean owned bars, restaurants, hotels too. You’ll be fine.

You need to figure out what you want to do in Venice first of all and how much time that will take. Start with that first.

Honestly you need to figure out what you want to do in each city.

If you go to a Museum, (it is going to be hot as fukk in there because they don't have air conditioning) expect to stand in lines to get a ticket and even walk around it.

According to news reports the locals are tired of them using citizens benefits as refugees, it wasn’t a racist post. Locals don’t want anyone there but locals or tourists that come and go, not people sticking around selling cheap Chinese trinkets and some times bringing petty crime with them.

I know all about Italians' perceptions, as I've already said I lived there, been in various parts of the country multiple times, speak the language and keep up with the news there. There's no need to parrot their racism by saying that "Africans are fukking up infrastructure" as if that were a fact.

Now let's just keep it moving wthout blanket statements about Africans, thanks in advance.

I have been 3x and I am conversational in Italian. My favorite part of Rome is the Vatican (private tour specifically) but since you said you’re not interested I’ll give you other recs.

Salotto 42 is a dope bar. Cute Italian girls.

There was a jazz bar on the westside of the city where you go down long staircase when you walk in that had the baddest chicks in the city. Wish I remembered the name but if you can find out it will be worth it.

Armando is my favorite restaurant near the Pantheon. Giolliti for post-meal gelato.

Ill Gabriello near Spanish steps - lively traditional Italian. I’ve been here twice and both times were 100.

Pierluigi near Campo de Fiori - upscale seafood on quiet square, very good

A 10 minute walk from St Peter’s is a neighborhood gem called Arlu’s. Great food.

Vecchia Locanda is where I had one of my favorite meals. Good hearty pasta portions, nice people/vibe.

To get a great view of the city, go to Piazza do Popolo. When you get there. Go up the steps behind the plaza to an area where you can take some great pictures.

Visit the Mamertine Prison (Mamertinum) where Peter and Paul were both imprisoned.

Mouth of Truth is cool to look at.

Spanish Steps at night and eat gelato.

Hit up the Piazza del Popolo in early evening and sit at a cafe and people watch. Walk up to the Villa Borghese park area during sunset.

Trastaverde district (nice for strolling at night).

Also keep your wallet in your front pocket.

Thanks breh, seems like you're one of the few that actually read the original post :salute::lolbron:

I plan to stay like 6-7 nights… get their first day and relax in Rome. Next day earliest take a trip to Venice (4 hours) then chill out there and come at the latest train back to Rome. Chill and watch Rome and take a train to Venice or the next day. Then Milan. Seems all like 4 hour rides. All I think I need is a full day at each spot. Only one I’m worried is paris. If it’s actually a 20 hour train ride. I might not make that one. If it’s 12 hours, I take the midnight train and get there right in time… we shall see though. I might just change up and stay a night at each spot and get a room.. just the logistics of booking more than one room fukks up my mood. Lol

Breh with all due respect that seems like an absolute waste of time, energy and money. You won't really be able to really enjoy any of those cities if you're just basically passing by them. You're gonna end up spending way more time travelling (flights and trains) than actually seeing the cities lol. You're basically gonna be coming in, checking out two max three tourist spots then leaving again lol. Why are you such in a hurry?

Let me know if you have any specific questions. Enjoy your trip.

The train ride to Venice is amazing. But @T.H.E.GOD only needs to do it once. Venice can be done in one day. And Florence is a MUST before Milan or Venice frankly.

Appreciate the info ya giving out. Check this. I got the hotel for Rome. Any recommendations for a hotel in Paris? Florence? Milan? I’m starting and ending my trip in Rome though.

Why not leave from Paris, why go back to Rome? You gotta have your reasons but that sounds like a lot of extra travelling for nothing...anyway good luck and good trip, make sure to have some leeway with your trains because Trenitalia is notorious for being late

I might look into it. shyt is just stressful booking multiple flights and hotels cuz then I have to make those moves and at certain dates. going and leaving from the same spot makes me wake up not worried about needing to do shyt unless I want to if that makes sense.
