how? Wade played himself
D Wade has never been the highest player on the Miami Heat. His entire career he took a paycut for the sake of the team

and the only reason Lebron even came to Miami was cause of Wade

so the least Riley could've done was pay Wade what he wanted, especially with the salary cap increase and mfers like Mozgov getting 64mil

instead he offered him a shytty ass deal just for the miniscule chance of getting KD, after all Wade did for the city and the team (not to mention how hard Wade played against the raptors its not like hes complete trash)

Wade needs to take that up with his agent as far as the highest paid player on the team stuff. No one forced him to take those pay cuts. I said it when it happened that now teams would start short changing players and now look. He should have capitalized when his worth was at its peak. Not saying you but the same thing you're saying in the last part of your post was the same thing Laker fans were saying when everyone was clowning the organization and blaming Kobe when he got the "thanks for all you've done" contract.

just because Wade wasn't FORCED to take a paycut, doesn't mean we shouldn't admire what he did.

when a player does what Wade did for the Heat, its basic decency to be grateful and respect them

and if you wanna think in terms of profit, even then Riley is a dumbass because Wade sold tickets. Even in the playoffs he was doing great things despite being in decline and to lose a franchise player so carelessly is dumb af what makes it worse is he did this even though the Cap was raised and players like Mosgov and Barnes were getting stupid money

what star player would wanna go to the Heat after they saw how Riley treated Dwayne Wade

Riley is a dumbass and now he gets to deal with the consequences fukk him

and Dwade's worth isnt an issue either, teams were offering him way more than the Heat and he wouldve turned them down if Riley had just showed him the respect he deserved and gave him the deal

This argument would hold weight if it wasn't for all the fake wide eyed innocence and sanctimony on the part of Riles and many others in this thread and elsewhere in the aftermath of Bron's exit. If it's about family and loyalty and "not cutting and running" and "smiling faces with hidden agendas" and "bu...bu...but he coulda told Riley" when the player does what's best for them then you can't turn around and say "bu...bu...but nobody made him take those pay cuts" when it's time for the org to do what's best for them. If it's business, then it's business all the time. You get it how you live and you don't act like a broad when it don't go your way.

Kobe was coming off a major injury and they didn't know what he could do and they didn't even have to sign him when they did. Wade had just carried an injury riddled team within a game of the CF and was a FA. Beyond that, Wade is actually more important to the Heat franchise than Kobe is to the Lakers. Take Wade away, the Heat are the Raptors or the Magic. Take Kobe away, the Lakers are...the Lakers :heh:. The issue with both orgs is that they have not caught up with the new paradigm. Attracting FAs isn't about weather and celebrities and "getting in the room" anymore. It's about players and their relationships and where guys feel comfortable. Unlike Kobe, Wade has shown the ability/willingness to bring other guys in.

Their responses will be "he's not obligated to tell anyone"......buuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttt it's a bytch move to not pick up the phone and talk to Riley......:mindblown:..........
Pat Riley admits he almost pulled a Dan Gilbert after LeBron James left Miami Heat
Riley flew home worried and got a text telling him to be ready for a call. About 15 minutes later, his phone rang and Paul was on the other end. The agent handed the phone to LeBron, who started by saying, "I want to thank you for four years ...

Another popular lie debunked.

Riley was angry when Lebron left, but let the Heat's greatest player of all time DWade walk out the door for nothing and just shrugged his shoulders

Riley just said he had to be talked off the ledge for writing a Dan Gilbert type letter:merchant:
Will the same things be said about him on here that was said about Dan since they shared a similar mindset:mjgrin:

The ugly truth is that most of these white folks associated with sports(fans; media, front office personnel, etc) have a white supremacist mindset :manny:

We saw it in the NFL with Kaepernick, and Donald Sterling's situation exposed Cuban as a white supremacist. Odds are your favorite team is owned or ran by someone who sees you as inferior.
