Players change their minds all the time, you don't think if Cavs somehow got PG he wouldn't re-sign with that team?
I rather get Jackson and go for Westbrook next year too... BUT Westbrook better learn that we need proper team ball movement. Really hopes KD's accomplishments makes him a better player and he evolves this year and comes home next. That would be ideal. We can also trade Randle and DLo if we get Jackson.
After Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George informed the franchise in no uncertain terms he plans to leave the team as an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2018 when he can opt out of his current contract, the Pacers began shopping George's services this weekend, including a phone call to the defending Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN on Sunday.
Because I hate Clarkson and his entire existence. I rather secure PG and not give much than take the risk of not getting him at all. He could easily get traded to the Cavs and be enticed to sign a long contract.I wouldn't trade anything for him if I'm the Lakers, why would you want Magic to offer up anything?![]()
The funny thing is they have to trade for pg because of all that stupid spending on deng and mosgoz
Because as it stands now, the Cavs are NOT not winning the championship next year. And Bron is outta there next summer. This may be your last shot at another 'ship for a long time. Not to mention Love is overpaid anyway. Can someone tell me why trading Love for potentially a 1 yr PG rental is a good idea? Even so, swapping Love for PG is kind of a lateral move if you ask me, you'll improve greatly on defense and have someone to guard KD but GS system + Draymond Green means it still won't be enough

Randle, 28th and some pick from 2036..Do it Magic!!
So resigning randle is not a priority? They can get him, they just have to dump Deng or Mozgov and/or not resign Randle.
For some time now the Nets have been making it clear that the'll take on bad contracts in exchange for picks and young players. I can easily see the Lakers dumping Deng or Mozgov along with a pick and maybe Clarkson in Brooklyn to open up cap space.
