This is a real flex:
I have a life-long homey, born in India raised in Brooklyn since when he was a few months old. Both parents worked, and owned a home across the street of where I lived (my parents rented).
One of the most chill people I know. As teens everyone in our hood called him Triple HHH

short for Hip-Hop Hindu because he was always breaking new songs to us (via Clue and other DJ mixtapes). Nevermind the fact that he was a Christian lol.
During our 20s, we spent a lot of times going bar-hopping. Whenever we would hit up the ATM, my boy was always conservative in what he would take out. Mind you, we were in our mid-20s. One time I asked "Dawg, why you always take out a minimal amount?" he lived with his parents, worked a good full time job in NY Presbyterian and didn't have to pay his parents rent. I was basically asking him why he was so cheap.
His answer was "
My dad has access to the account and checks it, he wants to make sure I don't be splurging on dumb-shyt" So I put 2 and 2 together and figured that he parents let him live rent-free provided he doesn't spend all his bread.
Anyway, one day at age 30, Triple HHH hits me up:
"Yo, I just copped a crib..."
I said

"
Congrats brotha! How much you put up for downpayment?"
He says "
What you mean?"
"What was your downpayment? How much you gotta pay for mortgage every month"?
He was like "Oh nah, I bought it straight cash"
680,000 for his crib - all cash. That's a flex. He also lurks this forum and is the person who put me up on The Coli.
