Because he was clashing with the front office

And I'm suppose to believe he's one of the only one's who's ever clashed with front office? I'm sure there are coaches still coaching that have disagreements with the front office of other organizations. Hollins was actually winning, and taking them farther than they had ever been. But all of the sudden they can do better with another coach?????? They haven't though........

I don't think he was good or great or anything, but the guy definitely got the short end of the stick as far as rosters go.

Evans worked out, but all their other moves were pretty much trash. Anderson has been injury prone as fukk, Asik has no offensive game, Eric Gordon can't stay on the court, Jrue can't stay on the court(and they could have had Noel as well as their first round pick this year), and really have done a shyt job of surrounding Davis with a good cast.

Instead of being bad for another year or two, or at least keeping Noel, they instead rushed the rebuild and now Davis is stuck with a shytty team with long/big contracts.

I never said I personally felt that was a justified reason

I'm not gonna sit here and say Monty is a great coach or anything, but that was a deeply flawed and injury riddled roster that he took to the playoffs. When AD missed that stretch of games in the middle of the season that everybody thought would sink them, they went 5-1.

We've gone over this time and again what a poor job Demps has done with the roster, but look at the games missed this year too:

AD - missed 14 games
Eric Gordon - missed 21 games
Holiday - missed 42 games
Ryan Anderson - missed 21 games

Tyreke Evans was the measure of consistency on this team :heh: and then he was hurt in the playoffs. They played GS really tough through three games in their series and blew game 3, but that's what young teams do.

Also, I think Orlando is a better situation than New Orleans. Much deeper roster in my opinion, plus they play in the east. That's the job I would be angling for if I was Thibs or any other coach out there.

Keep Thibs away from this team... He chose Chicago over New Orleans years ago and now wants to crawl back with AD as his star to run in the ground.:camby:

The 479
Monty to ORL would be interesting. Get them to the playoffs and develop the team a la Scotty Brooks.

He ll get another gig and be fine. Relax brehs

He had five seasons, not all coaches get that much time to build something.

Results weren't there, and his Xs & Os acumen isn't elite. This shouldn't be a shocker, it was talked about all season

The injury stuff flies right past me because injuries happen to every team. If OKC doesn't get murdered the first week of the season, there ain't even shyt to talk about.

But Monty was bad. I think he probably would've got next year to work with IF Scott Brooks and Thibs weren't on the market.
