I'm 31 but I thought nearly all these nikkas was trash since I was like 21. I literally think there's less than 5 rappers that are known that I genuinely think are nice as fukk on the mic, I like some others but it ain't for their pen at all

i like big krit he reminds me of pimp c with a more vast vocabulary, vulgar yet intelligently ignorant.......i hafta be super high to understand future n my budget dont allow me to buy gms of cocaine like i want to, jcole is ok but he's a lil youngminded for my old ass
I like Krit's ability to make good songs. His first few mixtapes were REALLY impressive.

In terms of impactful lyrics tho, the only "top tier" one that impresses me is J. Cole.

Do you mean new rappers or just Alot of these rapper being named have been in the game for at least 10 years if not more.... They just haven't gotten big until the last 5 or so.

The last new young kid that is probably the white dude lil dikky.

As for over all Lupe still surprises me sometimes and reminds me of why he's one of the greats (murals) Kendrick is just a savage and I typically enjoy all his music. Drake impresses me because he stays on top of the game and he knows how to make great songs.

I use to get so hype to hear a Joey track or slaughter house joint.... and although they can spit out of this world them nikka's cant make a song/album I want to listen to over and over again for nothing.

I still fukk with new music, but nobody has had me like :mindblown: from a lyrical standpoint anymore in many years. The last person to seriously impress me was probably Lupe on his debut album.

to be perfectly honest with you, no

i like kendrick and all and i think he's nice but he's nice for this era but he's not someone who wows me like the days of my favorites in the 90's. with that said, i think he's better than his peers but honestly, he's nowhere near my favorites in they hey day

j cole is an ok rapper at best but nothin' bout him wows me at all lol. he got some corny shyt too but at least he tryin' to come with somethin' other then the "monkey see, monkey do" shyt

freddie gibbs is cool for this era but i can count on 1 hand how many times i really listen to him

big krit nice but he only holds my attention for a lil bit then i wanna go back to listenin' to my 90's shyt

5 stars, dap and +rep, i like this thread @Mephistopheles :myman:

oh and i agree bout the lupe thing, his music had my interest with his 1st album but he lost me after that. i don't know what happened to bruh's music but it was never the same after food and liquor :mjcry:

again, great thread, bruh. this is a breath of fresh air :blessed:

Kendrick my favorite rapper right now and I'm 34.:wow:

Freddie Gibbs restoring that gangsta rap with lyrics feeling :mjcry:... same with Dave East.

Currensy the same age as me and he spittin' that shyt I can relate to. :ehh:

I listen to a lot of new rappers just not that mumble mouth sing song garbage well I listen to it at clubs, on the way to the club, parties, social events but if I'm by myself fukk no :scust:
