I would assume that they can strip them of their business as well if they can prove that people used some of the funds to create it. Everyone isn't going to jail obviously. I would also imagine that would potentially fukk with people getting future assistance from the government as well.

I know some people who used the money to create a business, which is cool and all, but not what the money is for

I know someone who knows someone that did actually end up getting caught taking the PPP loan. They didn't go to jail (yet), but they froze their banking accounts. They ended up having to pay back what they got plus 1%, which actually isn't that bad at all considering the severity of the situation.
