that gun is locked up and put away in the back of my closet. If somebody breaks into my house that's the last gun anybody is looking for. I agree the best gun for home defense is a shot gun. Especially for me, I don't go to the range to practice like my husband does.

I don't see how owning guns means a person can't use their hands or is just a weaker individual. Some of my guns are for collectors purposes. Some are for protection. I like to shoot at a range, just like an archer like to shoot bows. that's a hobby of mine.
I'm also gonna protect myself and my family with the maximum of anything I'm legally allowed to. I can fight, but why should I when I exert no energy pulling the trigger on someone who is asking for it?

I leave out of my house and regularly see bears and coyotes less than 100 yard from my house, not to mention the imperial wizard of the klan lives within 5 miles of me. thats why I own the guns I do.
