I've had to switch jobs twice in the last 2 years after ending up as one of the only Americans on the team. At one company it's was me on the East Coast and a white dude on the West Coast. Damn near everyone else in IT was in Europe or Asia. My Boss would fly over for a few months out of the year on visa. Mostly to mess around like he's on vacation. All these foreign born IT workers stay on code with each other I'll give them that.

America threw itself under the bus for short-term profits. IT/Tech is mostly Indian now and they definitely look out for each other and will put each other in those high roles. Look at how many of the big tech companies have Indian CEOs. I can't blame them for that, but if you're an American wanting 'in', it's not going to be too easy.

Many DESPERATELY trying to have a better life.
Many wake up anxious and go to sleep anxious because of their situation.
Just asking that folks be viewed as human beings.
Some are wonderful some devilish.

Again, I might be biased. Just attempting to bring a human aspect to things vs news reports.
Life is very difficult in certain places and many folks are just looking for a chance.

I don't know how you can ignore the millions and millions of migrant encounters at the border and try to shift the focus on overstays. The number of migrants requesting asylum is going up yearly and hitting new records just last year. With economies worsening around the world and South and Central American having shyt economies, those numbers will only continually to increase. The migrants that you encounter at the border have no skills, don't speak the language and require a lot of resource commitment in comparison to visa overstays.

I don't see how you can follow what's going on at the border and act like it's a non issue. You gotta be fukking delusional.
