yall think its moreso the stress of maintaining/earning money

or having money in general?

money doesn't solve psychological and emotional problems, there's rich muthafukkas who can't stand to be alone in their own company, money can't buy being happy alone with yourself, that is something that comes from within...

Problem is, people who worship $$$ don't know how to manage it or reserve time to enjoy it.

money can buy happiness. but the most important thing it can buy for u is peace of mind through security.

go ask the victims of hurricane sandy....the people who lost houses/homes and are having to shack up with family and friends. go ask them if money could have bought them happiness. see if u dont get the look of death for asking such an obvious question.

The problem starts with the word "happy"

People don't realize that happiness is an ever evolving feeling NOT a constant state. Think of it conversely... Could you be sad? Sure. But is it possible to be sad ALL the time? Nope. Is it possible to be MAD all the time? No.

So why do people expect happiness to be a constant? You're never going to be completely satisfied in life, there will always be something you can fix, or do better.

So I think when poor people get money, sure they're happy for a while. But then they realize they haven't actually solved anything.

Eating makes me happy. The funny thing is I know a lot of rich people. They say they don't talk about money. The reason? They don't feel the need to talk about money because they've always had it. It's like breathing to them. So why talk about it? It's a nonfactor. Broke people? They have fox and the grapes syndrome. They don't talk about money because they believe they will NEVER have it.

Study: Money Buys Happiness When Income Is $75,000 - TIME

People say money doesn't buy happiness. Except, according to a new study from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School, it sort of does — up to about $75,000 a year. The lower a person's annual income falls below that benchmark, the unhappier he or she feels. But no matter how much more than $75,000 people make, they don't report any greater degree of happiness.
