Inefficient overconfident and very popular dude would have been the prototype for big market teams like the Knicks to pursue but I think teams are figuring out it’s hard to build around this prototype. Hawks are probably better off moving trae for a wing and letting Murray be the primary.

Suns defense would drop to bottom 5 if they trade CP3 & Ayton for Trae Young.
Would rather build around mikel, trae and booker than fake like we have a chance with this current bunch.

Trae is playing like shyt this year and is the reason Atlanta has had a disappointing season …he needs to figure out why he sucks right now before complaining …hopefully this isn’t one of his character traits because it makes him look weak if true

Booker is average at best on defense and Trae is a disaster on defense. The backcourt may be good on offense, but the backcourt defense would be atrocious.

Mikal wouldn't be effective because he would be asked to do too much on defense. Also, his defense has already slipped this year since Monty has asked him to score more on offense. Mikal is also not suited to be a secondary scorer on offense. He is a 3&D guy only.

This trade would leave the Suns with either Jock Landale, Biyombo, or Dario Saric at center. Which would be a disaster for the Suns interior defense and rim protection.

I fail to see the problem. Get a young star and start over or lose in the first round with some guy who doesn’t want to be there/is a bytch? Chris Paul ain’t stopping shyt at 37 either.

CP3 still has the basketball IQ to at least be effective at team defense. He is physically on the decline which does affect his ability as an individual defender.

CP3 is also a much better leader than Trae Young.

Ayton can be inconsistent, but the Suns won't get equal value if they trade him. Especially on his current contract.

Plus if Trae is having issues with Nate McMillan, do you really think he wouldn't have issues with Monty Williams?

He’s 40 breh, it’s over. And he will be hurt come playoff time, as fukking usual. It’s time to break this shyt up I’m surprised this is getting pushback. We all know the suns are going nowhere.
