Im tired of Pete Rock yelling at younger rappers on some "you aint what we was" tip. I remember him going off on fukking Lupe of all people cause he redid T.R.O.Y. Pete is my 3rd favorite producer of all time. Everything he said (minus the drug shyt) was 100% on point and he shouldn't even be wasting his time responding that harshly to somebody as garbage as Waka.
But having said that, Pete has ALWAYS come off as a hater. Doesn't necessarily make his point any less true, but the message is easier to dismiss depending on the messenger.
Whether it was Nas, Swizz Beats, C.L., DJ Clue, or whoever, Pete has a resume of hating on cats.
