Nas type of rapping don't fit hitboys beats yea it be some.good stuff there but not exactly classic hip-hop replay.value type stuff so the mid label is pretty accurate...there's lack of soul in those beats

Nas doesn't need soul beats

The soul is in his lyrics
Nas rhymes should NEVER be carried by beats

Hip hop fans are terrible. The biggest knock on Nas has always been his inconsistency. We finally get it while the man is pushing 50 and nikkas still complain. Why are we even depending on someone that age to give us all these classics? All that matters to me is he’s had the highest output of music in his career and all of it has been dope

Kings Disease 2 is better than any album u mentioned

Guy used It's Almost Dry and 4:44 as standards that Hit-Boy hasn't reached. Not even DAYTONA. :mjlol:

I'm starting to think people are low-key annoyed that Hit-Boy was the one that produced five albums for Nas in three years. They might not hate him, but he's not their champion. Alchemist is or Premier or Madlib or whoever. All great producers, legends even, but it burns people up that Nas has spent so much time with one producer and it's none of them. In their mind, they're thinking, "Hit-Boy? Really? The 'nikkas in Paris' guy, him? He's okay, but...........Hit-Boy?! :scust:"

There's always going to be a narrative that surrounds Nas. People aren't impressed by his music with Hit-Boy anymore. They've deluded themselves into thinking all their songs sound the same to make them feel better about their opinions. Now, the criticism will be that he doesn't work with anyone else and his sound hasn't evolved. If you're on top for too long, people get sick of you and want you gone. The dominance irritates them.

He’s 50. Idk what people are expecting. Nas coulda stopped making music 10 years ago and his place among the goats was already cemented. He’s just adding to his legacy at this point. His main fanbase is long past the point of caring about classic singles. Just give us dope music

Y’all say he the goat. The goat of its genre should have impact. And for 20 years he been shooting and nothing is landing. U got to go back to Godson when he made a significant impact
