Heartbreaking.

But ubiquitous for the past few decades.

Such that: the sheer horror of the state of our communities doesn't actually penetrate the psyche.. the size and bleakness doesn't quite compute like when you talk about billions of years or distances between galaxies. "Numb" is sort of in the ballpark of what I'm describing.

Where gentrification at?
Check Suitland Rd. Told my mother a couple years after she bought her house (which they had just built) that they sold her a pipe dream and this year I have actually seen the movement. Might be because I don't live there any longer but when I saw they finally knocked down them projects (that had already been abandoned for the most part) I was like :ohhh:

Isn't that area supposed to be another "black mecca" like Atlanta (supposedly is) ?

P.G is a pretty big area and it's also economically diverse. There is a highway that separates the low-income and middle class. Towns like Seat Pleasant, Landover, Suitland, and Temple Hills border the worst parts of D.C this is where most of the murders occur. These areas have been this way since the 80s.

Upper class been wanting that real estate for a long ass time and they been making moves to get it and they're finally ready to take it over.

This shyt right here is where they finally put it out there in the public eye and start the clean up to move the "unwanted" out. shyt is crazy that they been planning this shyt for almost 20 years and it's finally taking place.

In 2004 my mama bought her condo for 120k, muthafuka was appraised after my sister and I did very minimal shyt on it last year and it is now valued at over 300k in Suitland shyt is crazy

Certain areas is just never going to change. Met a broad one time who wanted to meet up over by Temple Hills. bytch please :mjlol:

Camp Springs, st Barnabas Rd., Addison road type areas just look like it ain't never gonna happen.

But I just seen they had new homes going for 500k over by Capitol Heights metro so I dunno
