Like @BmoreGorilla said PG county is very large, most parts of the county is wealthy, some are middle class and some are hood. The whole area‘s been getting bad lately cuz nikkas from Southeast and other parts of DC are being pushed into the county due to gentrification.

Inside the beltway is where the fukkery persists. Hyattsville, Suitland, Oxon Hill, Capitol Heights.
Outside the beltway is safer. Laurel, Largo, Upper Marlboro and Fort Washington. This is also one of the most affluent black communities in America.

There's absolutely no area in MoCo where someone actually from the hood should feel "unsafe" lol. The poor areas feel like they are just immigrants trying to stack their paper and move out to a better spot with some ADOS sprinkled in.
The majority Hispanic low income areas feel like a normal, working class neighborhood.

MoCo is soft bro. Calling MoCo soft is the only way to get through you wannabe DC folks in upscale suburban Maryland on the west side of the beltway who want to be hood. If you from MoCo you literally live in the safest place in Maryland. Howard County more gutter than MoCo and HoCo is safe as hell too. Because Howard County has actual regular black people, descendants of slavery, the kind of black people cacs actually are scared of and dislike. Every black person in MoCo is Ethiopian, Nigerian etc. And their peoples got money. Not even ghetto Africans like Liberians.
