did you not hear Pharrell whispering and adlibbing “woof” throughout the song
did you not hear Jay z saying a bunch of random terms like he’s been on a black business IG page for an hour before recording his verse
yeah, the song sounds good to me
i hear pharrell ad-libing "woof" throughout the song but doesn't sound bad, it goes right along with the bass and drums in the song

gave it a fair watch/listen
I view it as a short piece with the music as more of a score than a song per se
I didn’t like pharrell’s part initially but appreciated it more when jay’s part came on
jay’s verse kind of distracted me from the video whereas pharrell’s part complemented it better where I was able to listen to the music and still pay attention to the info re: the businesses/owners
if I had to focus solely on the song then yes I’d easily say it’s underwhelming but it’s hard to separate it from the video...they work well in conjunction

Jay is not normal, from 06 to 13 he was more likely to drop something meh than wow. But since 2017, he’s been all for all.
But overall meh, this is not Frontin levels.

There’s been reasonable explanations for why Jay dropped when he dropped previously, such as tour etc. or announcing before Nas even, but this is just weird. This should be Esco season if you’re a hiphop head, three weeks from now can be anyone’s season
