I like how you looked over Wizards flaws which are larger than the Knicks (having a terrible GM IS NEVER A POSITIVE THING....especially if you have cap room), and completely glossed over the Knicks having cap space NOW as well as a top 5 pick.

The Knicks have drafted busts the past few years :dwillhuh: Like who? Knicks haven't had their own lottery pick in 6 years where they picked 8th and got Jordan Hill. Before that they picked 6th and got Gallinari. What draft busts are these that happened the past few years? Knicks haven't had a top 5 pick that was their own since the 80's. :childplease: shut up

you're a fukking idiot and a complete homer...you think the Knicks are going to be good EVERY fukkING YEAR. :mjlol:

Yeah, Jordan Hill is a bust. Gallinari is a bust. Channing Frye...bust. And they haven't had a top 5 pick since the 80's...so you think I'm going to automatically assume the Knicks are going to hit on a top 5 pick? And not only that, the kid who's supposed to go #1 overall averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds this year...FOH. And LOL at Phil Jackson being a good GM...he's literally done nothing to improve the team.

1st of all...you said "the past few years." Pretty sure Gallo and Hill weren't in the past few years. Channing Frye was about ten years ago. So who did we draft that were busts in the past few years? I'll wait.

Secondly....how are they busts? :what:

Gallo just dropped 47 3 days ago :childplease:
Hill is averaging 12 & 8 and will probably improve on those numbers next season.

Lastly, I never implied Phil was a good GM. The story is still being written on him. However, for anyone who's watched the things he's done and listened to his plans for this team, you can't say he's a bad GM. I have an infinitesimal amount more faith in Phil Jackson the GM than I do in Ernie Grunfeld turning the Wizards into a winning franchise. I have 1 year and change so I could be wrong....how much evidence do you have in Grunfeld being a bad GM? Oh ok.

shytting on Towns because he averaged 10 & 6? :heh: You don't follow college basketball do you? It's cool, neither do I. But even I know the reasons his numbers are so low but he's going to get picked so high. You clearly don't

None of this is proof that his personnel decisions suck nor does it disprove that hiring Steve Kerr would've been an excellent personnel decision. shyt, we still don't even know if hiring Derek Fisher was a poor decision (I certainly don't think so)..... so overall I think your points are piss poor.

:wtf: man are you on crack

Derek Fisher is wack juice and even Phil knows it :russ:

Only B+ level posters are allowed to address Phil Jackson's body of work.

Everyone below the line, keep it moving.

He has a high lottery pick, and a ton of free agent money coming up. People want to talk about his track record like he's had anything to work with so far.

The desperation for Knick (and new york) failure on this board, is borne from so much insecurity, it's crazy. The knicks needed a top pick in this draft, because it's their first lottery pick in some time... and they did everything to achieve that.

You got kids in here talking about drafts from previous GM's, as if that applies to the Knicks in any way. The guy doing most of Phil's scouting now is Clarence Gaines... do a little research.

Too early to judge Phil's work. This season was a wash no matter what. Now next year they better be in the playoffs and in 2017 they better be contenders.

This is about all that needs to be said. Phil with a top five pick, 25 mili in cap space and Melo getting healthy has positioned himself to transform the roster. I'm not a fan of the Monroe rumors, but if he drafts Towns that combo could work well. Either way, we gotta wait and see what he does without the handcuffs of a capped out, pickless team.

Dude is a system guy. He's very, very, very bad at evaluating talent

Everyone looks like a bad talent scout when all they have to offer is minimum contracts on one year deals. Same with picking in the second round where he did, that Early looks like he might be serviceable is a positive over most second round picks.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume you're just trolling fam.
This dude been trolling with this stupid thread. When people ask what would he do to get the Knicks to contend he doesn't say a word.
and that is really all he cares about. he wasn't stupid enough to coach for the knicks and risk taking all those L's on his record.
He's not gonna coach at his age guy. Riley moved up from coaching and now has one of the most successful franchises. Don't you think Phil would wanna do the same ?

Yeah these dudes are conveniently forgetting that Phil was trying to line up executive positions with the Lakers and Grizzlies years before the Knicks. His goal has been to run the show from the top for a minute.
