This site is so desperate to shyt on the Knicks/Phil because of their various inferiority complexes. This roster SUCKED coming into this season. He's embraced the full tank, which we need, because there are star bigs in this draft, and he's keeping the cap clear for the next few offseasons. He's going to strip down, and try to build around a young star piece and melo, which is all you could do.

Next season this team may have Okafor or Towns in the middle, and all of the sudden their future looks super different. Simple fans like you would rather him trade for josh smiff so you see a name you recognize.

The tyson chandler trade in hindsight was retarded... Had he waited, he could have gotten way more

Gave away jr smith and iman shumpert who have played very well in Cleveland

And you want to give him credit because he got a bunch of bum 2nd rounders?

Could have definitely gotten more for Chandler, assuming he was playing as well as he is for Dallas. He was trending downward, and he wanted to leave. Plus keeping Chandler would make the Knicks MORE competitive. That's not the plan, the plan is to tank. Anything keeping the Knicks from a top pick had to go.

Unloaded JR Smith's deal to get him out. He had an ugly year and a half, and wasn't going to improve for them. Shumpert plateaued and together they were 10 Million in cap next year. I'm not surprised they're playing passable basketball for LeBron/Love/Kyrie... they are role players, that's not what the Knicks need.

Stack up extra picks, free up cap, keep it moving.


I'd rather get a better package for Chandler... but who knows if he stays healthy, and we need to lose. The trade achieved both.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are again terrible, but just not terrible enough to get an Impact player in the draft. :manny:

Steve Kerr was a former NBA GM

This team would still suck if he coached the team as it is now.

The only way to quick fix this problem IMMEDIATELY is Phil becoming the coach next season.

None of this is proof that his personnel decisions suck nor does it disprove that hiring Steve Kerr would've been an excellent personnel decision. shyt, we still don't even know if hiring Derek Fisher was a poor decision (I certainly don't think so)..... so overall I think your points are piss poor.

So the Knicks have...

The outright worst coach in the league by a mile...

A player who is having knee problems the 1st year of his max contract...well unless the game being played is the all star game...then he can put up 20 something shots...but then be to hurt and scared to even sit on the sidelines...

A guy running the team who's biggest claim to fame is coaching 4 of the greatest 15 players ever and somehow convincing Tex Winters to be his right hand man instead of getting into head coaching...

A owner who was born into his position and runs the teams like he is trying to get some xbox live achievements...

Dolan just unlocked the Aerosmith achievement...somehow being irrelevant for going on a decade but every time they put on a show it fukking sells out

Oh and Knicks fan thinks that somehow drafting a duke player is going to fix all of these problems...:mjlol:
